CONFIRMATION:
Just received a text message: Armstrong+pick 35 for Johnstone:thumbsu:

24 is still with us - would love to get Goldsack but doubt it.
Hooker is no chance now, Ess want too much.....

That would be awesome if it goes through:thumbsu:

Disgraceful display of negative bias by Rucci in that interview.

He is a disgraceful weasel who just can't help himself where Adelaide is concerned.

What would he know about any trade going on. He writes incorrect gibberish and assumptions that are wrong in virtually evry article he writes.

The sooner he pisses off to Italy the better - or was he giving his worthless opinions from there already.

w***er!! :thumbsd:

Considering quality and accuracy of his coverage of our appointment of Sando and now trade week, one could be forgiven for thinking he was located on the friggin moon:eek:

Its a done deal mate. Great Get by Nobes. Obviously Sydney didnt rate Johnstone as highly as we thought, only signed him up so he doesnt go into PSD.

Its amazing that armstrong was a few weeks away from being delisted now his helping us get Johnstone.

Toast to Bickley:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

I think Nobe's or someone did come out and say that Armstrongs defection was going to help us with something we'd been planning (or words to that effect):thumbsu:

Was he injured last year?

Did he suffer from any serious long term health or injuries in 2010 or 11?

I'm reluctant to simply put it down to stupidity just yet. It's too good of a deal.

Johnston had a persistant foot injury (from some sort of birth defect) that he has finally gotten over. It was the reason why he couldn't play for us over the past few years.

That was Triggy who muttered that in one of his 5AA interviews - along the lines of "that just might help us with something bigger for us".

Johnston would be a great get, but it makes me worry about Kurt a bit.

Not a replacement for Kurt but for "Mommy's Boy". If we get Lycett then you can worry;)

I'm always suspicious when I hear that clubs want to do their own medical check. We may have, but I didn't hear us doing one for Luke Brown, Brad Crouch or that kid from St Kilda.

Emma think we may off load Tippett because we are going for so many talls:

thats what i think. theyre keen on josh jenkins too

I tweeted TWR told them Rucci was a crow hater and to ignore him !

I can't remember who said it, but it was def one of Noble, Rendall or Trigg.

If we can get Johnston for 35 and Armstrong plus maybe a 4th rounder and then retain pick 24, we are laughing.

What are we going to do with that. Maybe we did deal with Hawthorn for 24 as we never had any intention of keeping that in the first place.

I think it was in an interview about Gunston where he said there's still a lot to get done, etc, etc, then he changed the topic to Armstrong and said "will work out much better for us," but the nterviewer just ignored it and asked another inane question about Gunston.

Can we stop this shit now....like C'om man

How do we know that Lewis Johnson hasn't asked for a trade. He's coming home. Get over it.

Nathan Thompson just said on TWR that he understands that the Ivan Maric deal has been done.

Makes Rucci's statement (secret wish) that Richmond would play funny buggers and get him in the PSD for nothing makes Rucci look as stupid as he really is. :thumbsd:

Jenkins/Lynch/Johnstone are done deals apparently.

Unfotunately WC wont let Lycett go apprently.
Probably next year he will be out of contract and with limited oppts at WC we could get him.

Further developments on Tippet, Brisbane have said no chance with Redden.
Polec they would consider apparently (CC seems correct)......

Emma Quayle on us trading Tippett:
yes, i think its a massive chance given the crows seem to be loading up on forwards

yeah was Trigg for sure

Cant believe Sydney would give up Johnston for Armstrong and a mid 30s pick.

Fair play to Adelaide. 2 former first round KPPs for loose change and the biggest trade in the clubs history. Could set you well on course for a flag if Crouch becomes the player hes supposed to and Lynch & Johnston discover the form that made them first round picks.

You could say that for crows own top 10 picks Sellar and Meesen. First round does not necessarily mean they will be good.

I have my fingers crossed though that they do show something :)

That's the one. :thumbsu:

Neither dumb or dumber picked it up or followed it up!!

seriously, DUI issues aside don't you think Armstrong has shown alot of potential in the last few games? and hasn't he played more games with far better results than Lewis Johnston? geez I'm thinking maybe we are paying a little too much for him, yet they still want more?? If there's something I'm missing then please shoot me down!

OK Alex, just for you;)

1) he is not a sook

and

2) if this week had told you anything, players in the AFL these days have a choice where they work. He was just open and honest and honest about where he wanted to work.

Maybe considering his injury history but KPF prospects generally don't come cheap especially when they are contracted. If/when we get him he will be able to play a similar role to Gunston. :thumbsu:

Grrr. I know Rendell seriously rates Polec, but I'll lose my mind if we trade Tippett and don't get Redden in return.
This is all very worrying.
