Anything Tredrea says needs to be taken with a grain of salt. He would have no idea what so ever and certainly wouldn't have any inside sources at AFC of all places.

If Tippett gets traded (highly unlikely) it would have to be a mother of all one sided deals.

Seriously, this is a unique opportunity for us to get a young gun a potential #1 draft pick and we have some genuine chips to pull it off with Gunston, Maric, compo pick and some decent draft picks this year AND players that might be available that we don't know about.

I think for a club that never bottoms out, this is our opportunity to get an A grade player on to the list.

Doubt it, GWS want Jaeger and will do everything to make that happen (it's all on their terms). I do think we will get atleast one, if not two, 17 year old picks though and then likely use them on the gun locals.

I'm guessing Rendell has something up his sleeve with some of these 17 year olds ala Dangerfield (knew something most didn't and happy to leave them in cotton wool for a year).

Losing Ablett is going to be a blessing in disguise for Geelong; when they should be on the wane, they're going to be able to hit the draft hard and pick up some quality young kids - that premiership/top 4 teams normally wouldn't have much of a look at.

Damien Barrett just said that the Gunston deal is just about done - could be done today.

At the moment its holding up other deals because Adelaide will get either players or picks or a combination of both.

Once the Gunston deal is done Adelaide will be loaded up and is expected to be a major player, with their eye on a big fish they are chasing.

I agree, there does seem to be some urgency to get the Gunna deal done and move on to other bigger priorities

Sounds like the O'Meara 4 way deal may be done today (but probably tomorrow) according to TWR. GWS doing a dodgy trade to get him where picks get passed around.

Adelaide involved with GWS, Hawks and Freo in the O'Meara sqrewing.

We want Crouch as pick #2. Hawks want to upgrade their first rounder for Gunna, Freo want to upgrade their first for Clarke.

Could See O'Meara picked up and pick swapping between GWS, Freo and the Hawks with Gunna throw in somewhere to get up Pick #2 in the mini draft.

Brisbane would get an early pick somewhere (from someone) that will be on traded to Brisbane with something else for Clark.
