I'm always happy to trade in the first couple of rounds to get things set up so I'll have a little less than most of you.

25 after this round.

R2: Dea>Hartley & Mills>Libba
R3: Barlow>ZMerrett & Gresham>Parish
R4: Rocky>Zorko as planned

Dea has surprised me since being traded out but I doubt he'll end up making much more cash than Hartley at his price and trading him out allowed me to get Libba for Mills. When Mills only managed 70 odd in a match where his team dominated I couldn't see how he could ever score enough in closer matches to be worth his big price tag so he was an easy trade out.

29. Tossing up whether to go Gresh > Hartley this week. Or wait a week for Ruggles. Then its just waiting for my cows to moo.

Mills has been playing distributor out of half back. No ball in the backline equals less points. He should get more midtime when mcveigh returns.
I think he will be a slow burn and go 80-85. That said he is the lowest scoring player in my mids at the moment.

29 somehow. Usually at this point I have managed to get down to about 20 trades left even though it's impossible that's how much I usually trade :P

Was gonna go Hewett>Petracca then Sheridan>Biggs but decided to reverse it. Petracca won't play this week at least, Hewett if picked can surely reach his BE of 30 (just), then giving Sheridan one more week to see how he goes + seeing how Biggs goes now that Bob is injured if he'll get more of the ball or more attention.

Next week the Hewett>Petracca trade will probably happen, if Hewett comes out with a 90+ or something so his BE is low again then it will probably be Gresham>Petracca.

Then it's just wait & see how the other rookies & Midpricers are going like Mills, Menadue, Sheridan, etc :thumbsu:

Was going to use 2 this week , leaving me with 26. Had a re-think and reversed. Just one for me, Rockliff to Dangerfield. 27 left

27 after this week.
2 last week, and just Crouch to Parker this week.
More than likely 2 next week bringing in Ruggles and upgrading Lonergan to Houli.
My exact plan next week. Not this week though got rid of Brouch last week and started with Parker :P

But next week definitely Lonergan out - unless he really impresses - for Bach

You could be right as he has undoubted ability. I really doubt he'll get to that kind of average though. At this stage he's averaged just 62 ppg since I traded him out so I have no regrets .... yet.

The idea that McVeigh coming back and taking his position will push him into the midfield seems a bit optimistic. His reputation and ability will keep him in the team, but usually when a senior player returns to take a position held by a rookie that rookie would be more likely to be dropped than to improve his SC scoring.

My apologies, I didn't explain my point clearly. I don't think Mills will average 80-85 for the season, but i can see a few 80+ games and a ton giving him a three game average in that area, and assuming he is 300+K when it happens he should hit high 300's low 400's. Whereupon his ass will be traded out for someone of heroic character.
Also, I think mills is third in line to be dropped, after hewitt, paps. Hewit is probably the most marginal and he has been playing in the mids as far as im aware. He leaves for Mcveigh, Mills gets shuffled forward. I look like Nostradamus. Win.

I agree with almost all of that ... certainly that Hewett and probably Papley go before he does.
I'm less convinced about him reaching that $400k mark with a rare 100 score pushing his rolling average to 80-85. He'd have to get those big scores much more regularly to do that. As an example, Daniel Wells is on $317k. If he gets his projected score this week his rolling average will be about 96. That's significantly more than an 80-85 rolling average but it will only increase his value by about $45k.

27, but have headaches like Gresham and possibly Hewett if they don't play.

Would you consider getting rid of Hewett? Or do you think he'll get another good. Was very impressive RD1

27.

Rockliff & Gresham -> Kennedy and Papley
Hewett -> Liberatore (my tired calculations were off the other day, thought I could get Parker, fell 5k short, happy with 105-110 likely average from Libba).

26. Hopefully no more for a few rounds.

Tom Lee in for Hartley when/if he's dropped probably next trade.
