Plenty happens, but nothing ends up being official until Thursday or Friday. There must be plenty of close-to-done deals going around but clubs just wait to see what other clubs are doing.

From Melbourne's perspective;

Ward asked to be traded last year but no one wanted him, I can't see the outcome any different this year.

Robertson was talking up Woey coming back, it looks like it might happen.

Please no to Whitnall and Hay, I'd prefer us going after Polak or Shannon Grant.

Heffernan, Hunter, Williams will get the chop, you can probably add Armstrong (unless a trade can be done) and Godfrey to that last. Rigoni will retire.

I still am hoping we hold onto woewoedin, i reckon he's too valuable to just let go for nothing. I think with a few better midfielders around him, he is still good enough. However, if he has to go, so be it, we will not be severely disadvantaged without him. He is better than others on our list but, for example Morrison, Lockyer and Cole
