Does anyone think its worth AFL looking at Free Agency rules from the 7 years service to a certain number of games ? I just think given most players only start playing consistent senior football from years 3-4, the 7 years service doesn't really work.
Thoughts ?

One of those crazies probably hacked into the Melbourne list management site and arranged the Dawes deal. Either that or Michael Voss is sharing his list building strategy. Why else would they trade pick 20 for someone not worth pick 35 and then give him a 4 year $500K pay packet. If Clark doesn't come back from his foot injury Dawes is one out up forward, he couldn't even cope being second banana in a strong side.

I can only assume the Demons are still a little euphoric about getting Viney at 26 instead of 3 that they thought they may as well blow a pick while they are partying.

To be honest people are saying Dawes was shit with collingwood's midfield giviing him the ball but i dont believe they passed it with any great accuracy rather just bombed it in there, it is just the amount of ball the mids got, their forwards will look good as it is getting pumped in the fwd 50 and also they have a gameplan that keeps it in there.

Any ideas on what we may expect from GCFC for Gilham if that rumour is correct?
At this time their highest pick is a second rounder but of course they may add to that if they trade a few of their young players in order to reduce the size of their list as is required this year.

Haven't heard it myself but I gather he said they're done trading, which is quite separate from signing a free agent.

I think it is a really good idea bindas12. I'd be pretty p_ssed off if Max Bailey jumped ship the first chance he got, given the amount of weeks he's been paid to sit on the couch and watch TV.
