With all the smoke around in the air, do you think the boys will actually train outside?? The EPA is warning no one should be exercising today.

IIRC, haven't they been training in the smoke over the past couple of weeks?

You city folk can't handle a little smoke???

Try being 15-20 minutes away from where they lost some houses... :( I think the EPA would spaz out if they came down here hehe. Business as usual though, still have sport on here. lol

It seems we have the curse of the hammy.

Hartlett, Edwards tweaked his, now Bentick has done his.

Sh1t.
Wait - when did these happen? Didn't Edwards tweak his last week (or week before) but is still training with the main group, or did this happen recently?

just going by what i have read. Edwards tweaked his last week, and did not take part in the match simulation. Bentick has apparently done his hammy as of monday's training.

Got there and the boys had already started their sprints at 8:30. Everyone participated in this besides Kouta and Hartlett who were walking and running around the ground, Whitnall, Bentick and Edwards didnt train at all. From what i got told today Bentick did his hammy in his last kick on monday. In the sprints they were testing how fast they were going, i think Fev was the most determined all session, specially in this area.

Once that was over Walker, Setanta and Aisake did there laps, so did McLaren who is now back to running and Wiggins did a bit of work with Libba. Walker and Edwards went to play cricket in the players race with a tennis ball and a big water pipe, was really funny watching them.

Most of the session was based on getting the ball from end to the other. Unfortunately in a marking contest Thornton landed awarkdly and rolled his ankle. Hopefully his alright. There was a lot of talk during this drill and everytime they got a goal the boys would scream and jump around. If only they could do what they did today on match days.... Theres alot of speed and the whole team is fairly fit with all the running they do, i cant pick a player who's unfit. Half the team then had to take there tops off and train...

Today the people who stood out to me were Fevola. He put in 110% in everything, he wouldnt stop running and bombing the ball long, he was really focused today and i think he will have a even better season next year then what he did next year. He can have his eyes blind folded and he would still kick a ball 50m out. Murphy also impressed, but then again his just a god. Like Fev he didnt stop running and kicked about 3 goals, was brilliant today. And Cameron Cloke i enjoyed very much watching. He reminds me of Fev when he was young, he can bomb the ball but may not get in straight through the goals. With a bit of practice i think he can really make it to the Senior carlton side. His kicking is just massive, he kicked a beauty about 60m out and through the goals.

Ratten and Bentick were having a photo shoot with the #7 jumper.

Tomi Johnston was there but no sign of Jake Williams. But everything was fairly good other then Thornton getting injured.
Thanks to Bluesgirl at talkingcarlton.com for that

Gee Whiz.

(Thanks again bluesgirl)

Thornton looks like he'll be okay, probably just a slight roll of the ankle. I agree about what said about Fev, looks 110% comitted. Don't know why Lance didn't train, although i did get there about 25mins after they started

btw, they had a photo session of Bentick wearing the number 7 guernsey
