Hey everyone, I'm looking to bring my young fella down from central vic to watch a training sesh next week.
I've noted the open training on this Friday (which unfortunately, we can't make).... Does that mean all other training sessions are locked to the public?
Is there a particular day or time that we'll be fairly confident of catching them. I don't really want to make the trip if there's nothing on.

No training sessions are locked to the public. In fact you have a better chance of getting a pic & autograph if you come to any of the normal training sessions.

Jen2310 generally knows what days training is on.

I was alerted they were training at Gosch's this morning at 9:30. They started at 9:45 apparantely, so I jumped out of bed and on the bus haha. Got there around 10:30 I'd say. And they finished at 11:30.

Blacks;

Lippa
IQ
Maynard
Elliott
JDaicos
Noble
Pendles (did drills but no match sim)
Adams
Cameron
Kreuger
Frampton
Hill
Crisp
Murphy
Moore
WHE
NDaicos
HH
Markov
Howe
Mihocek

Whites;
De Goey
Bianco
Mcstay
Wilson
Allan
Macrae
Draper
Kelly
Ryan
Reef
Murley
Richards
McCreery
Ginni
Begg
Johnson
Steene
Carmichael
+ Longmire (VFL)

Didn't see Mitchell or Ruscoe.

Ginni played solely in the midfield, centre bounce, around stoppages.
The likes of Carmichael and Macrae were at HF, Draper at HB.
They moved some players around. Pretty sure Josh D was at HB lol

Didn't appear Pendles or Cox did the match sim, but they did some of the drills earlier.

There was some drills focusing from FB and the ball movement, then also some drills dedicated to throw ins. Then finally a centre bouce match sim drill.
Some goal kicking at both ends. Near me was Ginni, Johnson, Hill, Murley, Jamie.

I think Kreuger comes in, they'll likely give Mcstay an extra week to prepare for the dogs game.

I can see DeGoey in white I think.

A real deck chairs on the Titanic move if ever I’ve seen it! Replacing one 6 possession 1 goal player with another is hardly moving the dial. I’ve got the slows on him, but you’ll get the same output from Ginnivan and at least have the chance to get lucky with a head high free or two along the way…

I’ve been a huge critic of kreuger sco, but I’ve watched him closely in the VFL. At worst he’s bringing the ball to ground and creating a contest, and offers good second efforts for a tall. That’s what we are lacking atm. He can bring the ball to ground. Was outstanding two weeks ago, and played his role in tough conditions on the wkend.

I guess they're looking for someone to make a contest. Given Johnson hasnt been doing that, Kreuger, you're turn lol

There's clearly a process for selection and it's handled pretty sensitively with the players involved. Surely Kruger wearing black doesn't just simply mean he's in.
Not always. But generally its a sign.
But frampton wore black last week yet didn't play.

It seems as though you’re in the mix in black. You’re not in white. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Although there will be some in the white that will play. As they dont always have everyone in black for a numbers pov.

Per a couple of those videos it looks like Maynard might have spent some time with the mids group, is that accurate?

With Mitchell a no-show, was it Ginni (or Maynard or others) that slotted into the mids group?

Ginni played in the midfield for the white team.
Maynard was down back
CB set up was De Goey. Ginni. Allan v Adams. Nick. Crisp.
But JD and WHE look to played half back

Agree Kreuger has good second efforts and aggressive and agile at ground level.

However with the talls of GC I’d rather try Frampton fwd, as insurance if needed in other parts of the ground.

He may surprise.

Does Ginni look capable as a mid?
He definitely needs another string to his bow.
He definitely gets in and under, had a clearance at CB. He may not be fast, but either is a few of our mids, but what he does have could work with a bit of mid time. With more fitness I reckon it could be a string to his bow that can be added.
He was meant to play midfield in his draft year before covid hit.

A lot more fitness and anything is possible.
He's still very young.
Dane Swan showed us what is possible with peak physical fitness.
He went from a good player to the best in the competition.
Pendles has been doing it from the start of his career.
Players need to buy into what Fly is selling.
Be the best version of yourself

Very young.
When he is a bit older, and stronger with some more pre-seasons, who knows what he could be.
