The poster who suggested that Elliott might be dropped needs to note the speed with which the coaches got him off in the Essendon game when there was the merest suggestion of an injury being possible.

For the rest, I can't see a best 22. There are just too many players that we want on the field for the available slots. The trouble is, even with all of them, I have difficulty seeing how we take Melbourne down. Their midfield, defence and tactics look to have us covered. Perhaps the closed session was to practice kicking along the ground into attack to minimize their marking and maximize our ground level players' effect.

You should watch out previous 7 or 8 games against the Dee's, think we have won about 6 of them, it might give you a hint how we can take them down

as a starter, Melbourne don't have a tall fwd line so with Moore back in, Howe goes fwd and plays a defensive role on May or Lever.

You left out any mention of Melbourne's forward oh great one. Thank you for blessing everyone with your knowledge great one. Bow.

He has kicked goals in big games against quality opposition. Throw the kid a bloody crumb.

Which games were these?

Anzac Day and the SF against Freo, yes.

I don't recall him putting in a 15 possie, 3 goal game against a top 4 side that.

He's got match winning capabilities but let's not pretend he's torn apart Melbourne, Brisbane etc.

Who is a good defender, but yes lets put down players performances because we made the opposition look terrible. How about giving our players some credit for the hard work they put in.

Let's be real. The Bombers were coming off a 20 goal loss to GWS and 2 of the worst wins you'll ever see against West Coast and North.

The over hype on Melbourne is a bit much here.

Remember, they finished 4th for a reason. This isn't a Geelong of 2022 coming off 15 straight wins.

They're strong defensively but our ball method has the ability to trouble them, which was proven last year and in the first half on KB this season.

The addition of Elliott, Sidey, McStay, Howe, De Goey and Gionny (sub) is massive. They get Oliver back but he'll be kicking high balls to Moore all night.

We've been in our shell since the Port game but i can see us going up a number of notches on Thursday night.
