Training TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liked for the great 1987 reference.
Those blokes in the late 80s early 90s were massive.

It helps when then full forward only left the goal square to go on a 25m lead to mark the footy.

But now they are required to work up the ground man up the plus one and create extra pressure around the contest. Then sprint back to the goal square with the ball coming in over their shoulder.

Cool. I just had brunch in Richmond and it turns out training starts at 11 today so I think I will slope over, trying not to look like a sad case, then go drink beers (when I will definitely look like a sad case)

Weird. Harmes is wearing no 4 and it’s messing with my head.
I would take that.

Numbers might change shortly too, usually they are confirmed after the rookie draft but since our rooks are set...

Nut has changed his IG handle to james_harmes4, so I assume that confirms it.

I’m locking it in. The main group were all in numbers - so I don’t think it was a ‘left my kit at home Sir’ type issue

Were the new boys at training today? Any subsidence of local property as a result?
Charlie Spargo was there. He’s really little - not waif like though, but not Viney style chunky either. I understand he is sort of a Boomer Harvey sized. He’s very pale. With him was the guy with the mad hair - is that Oskar? Whoever that was is a biggish unit and I commend him on going with the mad hair rather than moving to a silly man bun in his first session. Both were mostly running the perimeter with Tim Smith so difficult to tell much about them, except that they are clearly AA contenders at this point.

Spargo and Petty running laps, Oskar Baker with the unusual hat+hair configuration, and the seeds of the Hogan/Fritsch forward line domination being sowed in the last pic.
kinda looks like Steven O'dwyer 2.0

Spargo looks like a 15 year old school girl.

I will be so impressed if has enough hunger and fight to become best 22.

Lucky we didn't trade for Stringer.

Love these two paragraphs. Especially on the Weid. Might jump on for rising star.
“Billy Stretch is again super fit and then probably for myself, I’ve spent a lot of time with Aaron vandenBerg, Tim Smith and Sam Weideman.

“I’ve spent a lot of time with those guys and probably Sam Weideman has really stood out to me. He’s put on some good size over the off-season, which was a goal and he’s training the house down at the moment. If he keeps going, he’s going to be a big force to be reckoned with.”

Weid will really start to get into games with some more size on him, not only strength but alos the confidence factor.

Hoping he has a breakout game in the first few rounds.

'he’s training the house down'

It's official!

Structural engineers must flock to Melbourne like the salmon of Capistrano during our Pre season.
