To be fair if you have a blank cheque of 150 mil with no strings attached and no wages limitations, even a 10 year old would buy pretty well

And not buying better defenders when you've got bad ones wasn't exactly buying well. Chelsea bought well

I think United bought pretty well. Missing a cb obviously. Chelsea had possibly the best window of all time. Compared to ur previous owners, fsg have been amazing. They are upgrading anfield and have provided plenty of cash to Rodgers and Kenny previously. Not wanting to start a shitfight but i reckon fsg would support rodgers more if he had bought better over the last 2 seasons.

If you didn't splash that 20 mil and 250k per week + guaranteed purchase next year on Falcao and bought two defenders instead you'd be way better off

FSG is just Moores/Parry slightly upgraded. Also they have supported him well so no need to troll

Yeah, not sure about the packet of chips but we pay about £20m too much for him (Carlo was pretty desperate for him), but no one could have predict his fall from grace would be this hard.

But the thing with Falcao is people knew he'd have fitness issues, plus you already had two strikers. Don't you think instead of spending that much money on him, you'd be better off buying the defenders you need instead of having to keep playing kids down back?

I don't think Carlo was desperate for Torres. After Torres signed Carlo said he didn't have much control at the club unlike Fergie at United, pretty strange to say if he was getting what he wanted.

Well you are just using 3 years. Our spending was quite modest for the few years prior thanks to the Glazers. If we hadn't spent so poorly last year then it wouldn't be an issue. I would have liked a cb but United had significant deficiencies elsewhere which have been fixed. I was happy with this seasons spend, not for the last few years tho. 1 more window should have the team back in contention. As you have discovered with Suarez leaving and United had with RVP a few years ago, that one worldly striker can make up for deficiencies elsewhere. It hasn't worked out thus far and u are correct in that few clubs can afford that kind of punt but it's Falcao. If he gets himself right he'll dominate. United have bought players on the back of major injuries before. RVN was amazing, Anderson obviously not. Some are bagging Falcao for being a flop when it's too early imo. My original comment to Faith was that i think she's being unfair to FSG. We both know that Kenny blew the Torres cash and it's likely that Rodgers has blown 50% of the Suarez money. If it was ur money, would you be reluctant to give a lot more out after spending 100m on Anfield?
