Got to wonder how many people have actually watched Dutch/Italian football regularly.

£32m is a hell of a lot of money for someone that hasn't played in England, Germany or Spain.
DMs are Italy's bread and butter. LVG evidently has watched him more than most

in fairness, of the players moyes 'rejected', he got them fairly bang on. vidal and strootman have struggled with injury and form, thiago has had a trail of injuries and now garay is doing go knows what in racismland.

i was bored earlier so here's a best 11 of players contracts ending at the end of the season.

romero
lichtensteiner schar vlaar jansen
khedira elm
bellarabi danny konoplyanka
ings

there's others like terry and gerrard obviously who i havent put in cos i can't see them not signing with their clubs.

others also include milner, ranocchia, ayew, de jong, gignac, zambrano, mavuba, reid, delph, suso, neto, jefferson, mulumbu are all young and/or proven quality. plus there's also the expected russian firesale coming so good time ahead for buying clubs.

I agree, can't see RM going after Cech. They'd be looking looking at someone younger and about too or just in their prime. Petr's past that, but still better than Lopez IMO.
Cech is 32? That's young in GK terms. I wouldnt say he is past his prime at all.

Wouldnt mind having a go at Delph, Reid and maybe even Vlaar. Ings and Khedira too.

I hope we resign Suso.

Gerrard will sign obviously.

My only concern with Cech is what happened with Cudicini. Chelsea had the two best keepers in the league when Cech arrived, but a year on the sidelines saw Cudicini turn to rubbish.

Look also at how far Casillas fell after a stint out.

It doesnt take much for keepers to lose it and that would be my only question mark with Cech.

Carlo may never have gotten what he had back, but he was never rubbish even after 5 years on the bench.

Agree and that's why it is worth signing him in January only.

Do people really believe this Bale crap? He was signed just a year and a half ago for a world record fee. He has scored 33 in 66 games for Real. Yet apparently they want to sell him.

Yeah, nah.

No I personally don't.

I think Memphis Deapy will be the winger that we sign in the summer window.

However it is Real Madrid so who knows what they will do.

If Perez wasnt running the show i would say no chance but with him in charge you never know how long till he wants a brand new shiny toy.

bale's going to be his shiny toy for a long time
Bale and Ronaldo, if anyone from up front is being traded in for something shinier it's going to be Benzema

Same line Pool supporters were using when we were linked with Di Maria.

@DavidAmoyal: Cerci-Torres loan swap, all the details of the deal http://t.co/Y0R3EVfMJb http://t.co/Y0R3EVfMJb

Yeah not sure it's the most sensible move for Atletico but it's great for Torres and his family that he gets to finish his career back where it all started. Even if he isn't the same player they last saw all those years ago the fans will love this, and if he's going to regain his confidence and scoring touch anywhere it'll be in front of an adoring crowd at the Calderon.

You offered 200k a week base wage + 60 million pound transfer fee. Di Maria and Real were never going to knock that back.
