Reports out of Spain suggest that Suarez may be the fall guy for Barcelona in the summer. Sounds a bit far-fetched, but would he go back to Liverpool? How much would Liverpool have to pay to have him back?
Ridiculous amounts.

Paul Dickov has just brought up an interesting point. Part of City's sanctions for breaching FFP were a reduction in their squad size limit from 25 to 21 players, signing Bony gives them 1 too many foreign players and would take them over that limit. You'd think at £30m Bony has been bought to play an immediate role in the CL, so that means someone is likely to miss out. Any idea who that will be moomba & NFGKizza?

Berba wanted to play for United, not City.

I don't think anyone can say that Levy hasn't held Spurs back. Absolute rabble at times, and I actually like them.
Maybe in individual seasons but when you consider his entire tenure then he's done everything but hold us back. As well as ENIC he's taken the club from lower-mid table strugglers to knocking on the door for the top 4 every season. Sure, he has a habit of not splashing out money, selling our best players and making strange last minute buys (see Nelsen and Saha), but he's lifted the club in his time there.

so what your saying is that uefa will have to investigate this transfer...interesting

What a load of shite.

Bale didn't want to go to United, he wanted to go to Madrid. Fact.

I don't know if you can handle that, so you might want to sit down. He didn't want to play for United.

Besides, why accept your bid when he was already in Spain?

Carrick we see as 'took' because big bad Fergie stepped in and said he was yours.

The £31m you paid for Berbatov was legit, but that doesn't mean your tactics were. City were going to pay the same amount, if not a few million more, before they signed Robinho. I have a problem with how late Levy left it too, but that doesn't excuse United.

If you can't see why having Modric away at Real, rather than strengthening a positional and geographical rival (Chelsea, by the way, not you), was beneficial then you look at the world with remarkably blinkered eyes.

Just to pull you up on Berbatov, he was always going to United, he whinged and moaned for ages about it and made it clear from the start that was his club of choice. City came in at the 11th hour once the takeover was confirmed and they were given 35 mill to spend at the last minute. It was a token bid and was never in consideration. Quite ironic that United baulked at him for 10 odd mill when he wanted out of Leverkusen.

Bale is correct though, only wanted Real, United were never in the picture no matter how much they put forward. Levy hates United but he had no say in that.

It's been bad since you took Carrick, and irreparable since you intercepted Berbatov at the airport when he was on the way to City.

Can't really blame Levy, or trace that back to 01.

Again that's bullshit, United did no such thing he was never going to City, it was always United.

When the rumours first started I hewrd that Bony wouldnt be included in the champions league squad. But that could change, still possible to buy and sell this month and we might cop more injuries so that could make a decision easier.

United spoke to Berbatov without permission from spurs. We had permission. Thats why United ended up paying extra.

Meh in that situation it was a non factor, beside United throwing down some insurance quid.

I wonder what Chelsea has given Leicester as their part of the deal. Surely not Schwarzer.

If he misses the game qgainst Chelsea in Feb I'm going to say the deal is bent. If he breaks his leg the week before it's just a bit more elaborate than usual.

I would have preferred Levy just grassed you up. But for him breakingnthemrules is more a chance to make a million quid or so to buy his silence. United tapped Carrick up for ages before he signed as well. No surprise there isnt a great relationship between the two clubs.

Grassed us up? Not getting you mate.

You spoke to a spurs player without permission from his club. It's against the rules.

Well your on the ignore list, how dare you accuse me of such villainy ;) whilst being from South London, my grandad ensured I was Yid since I was born.

Will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

Oh oh. Humble apologies. I blame it on the early start to the day. [emoji15]

Messi on a five year contract for £200m and say £300k a week would set you back £55m a season for the next five.

Champions League money is about to go up £20-30m a season. You'd presume there would be some commercial benefits with him signing.

He would replace another player which would result in wage savings and potentially a transfer profit.

I wouldnt rule out any of Chelsea, City, United or Arsenal if he became available.

Just not convinced he will become available.
