It's definitely a conundrum for football clubs and re-integrating convicted criminals back into society in general. In my very humble and insignificant opinion, he's paid the consequences so he should be free to pursue a football career without him, or the clubs that may sign him, being the subject of criticism and threats.
I get that fans and sponsors don't want their money spent paying his wage but they should probably not eat that sandwich or drink that coffee because chances are the packaging or trucking company etc. that made it possible for it to get onto a shelf has someone with a conviction on their payroll.

EDIT: not slating packaging or trucking companies, just using them as an example of how our money somewhere along the line is probably paying for someone with a conviction.

Excuse me mate but I own a packaging and trucking company and we only hire the innocent rapists.

it's all based on money and sponsorships, there's currently a lot of faux pas bravado.

should he be allowed to play? yes
do people really want him playing for their club? no

it's a tricky situation and it's all evans' fault

What a bargain. Liverpool should of gone harder for him.

well since they offered more money than inter both pay wise and an upfront transfer fee to bayern, i don't think there's much more they could've done.

Arsenal to make obligatory 17-yr-old signing with Krystian Bielik.

The Gunners have been in negotiations with Legia to sign Bielik for weeks, after he impressed scouts with a string of impressive performances.

And while Arsenal remain in talks to agree a fee with his club, Bielik says he has accepted a move to north London, as expects the switch to go through.

‘I’ve made a decision [to join Arsenal] and I’m not going to change it,’ he said.

‘I am looking forward to an agreement between the heads of the clubs. I realise that the negotiations may take some time.

‘I am, however, confident it will happen soon.’

He was at the club over the Christmas period so it's not really a surprise. 6ft2 at 17 and a traditional defensive midfielder.

It's very easy to tap up a player without breaking the rules.

The ones that get caught are generally the stupid ones.
No offence, but i think that's quite naive.

Never heard of Utd getting in trouble for tapping players up anyway. Chelsea on the other hand. ....

How is it naive? What have I missed?

Pretty much every single club taps players up illegally. A Cole, Gallas, Mikel, Stam are the ones that spring to mind.
So 4 examples. Maybe its not as prevalent as you think.

Like I said, it's easy to tap someone up and not be in breach of the rules.

Berbatov was an illegal approach, Carrick from memory wasnt (although still morally wrong IMO).

Is he seriously trying to suggest a contract between Lampard and MCFC's holding company is a third party arrangement?

I just found it interesting as I thought Lamps was a NYC player on loan, but apparently not. I didn't know about the CFG.
