I get that fans and sponsors don't want their money spent paying his wage but they should probably not eat that sandwich or drink that coffee because chances are the packaging or trucking company etc. that made it possible for it to get onto a shelf has someone with a conviction on their payroll.It's definitely a conundrum for football clubs and re-integrating convicted criminals back into society in general. In my very humble and insignificant opinion, he's paid the consequences so he should be free to pursue a football career without him, or the clubs that may sign him, being the subject of criticism and threats.
EDIT: not slating packaging or trucking companies, just using them as an example of how our money somewhere along the line is probably paying for someone with a conviction.
