Don't see why you'd want him anyway. Zaha is the perfect player for your lot. Barkley would only be good staying at Everton.
We need a backup for Eriksen I guess.
We do need a pacy winger and have tried to find that Mane type player that he lucked onto at Soton. Unfortunately we're 0/3 in that type of signing and have overhauled the recruiting team since the start of the season.

I just took notice of your avatar and now I'm sad :(

Don't see VVD going to Everton. Just doesn't make any sense for him to go there.

Sigurdsson would be a good signing but again they're just going for "the best of the rest" type players and I don't think he's any better than Barkley.

Still think the loss of Lukaku is being underestimated, he was their only world class player and they have replaced him with a human potato. They're still 7th at best for me and I'm definitely not worried about any sort of Merseyside power shift.

Yeah but what about Onomah or Winks? Weren't they able to play as #10's? And what about Alli and Son?

Zaha will cost a fortune but if you want to win the league he'd be a perfect player for you along with maybe an alternative to Harry Kane (Andre Gray?). You only need depth in your attack and maybe a replacement for Wimmer if he leaves (Gibson?). After that your squad would be fine for an assault on the title IMO. Better than Liverpool's and United's and has better balance than City's. Only Chelsea would have a better one after that.

Shibata is an absolute machine and along with Okada and Suzuki was a major factor for me getting into NJPW. Will never give up the dream of him returning.

I only started properly following this year, but he was a clear favourite.

Agreed.

Nah Siggy in all honesty has gotten 10x better since returning to Swansea. Even if Barkley stays I could still see Sigurdsson displacing him.

Sandro is pure class and will make Everton fans forget about Rom fairly quickly. Reminds me of a certain Uruguayan who used to play for Liverpool. Think he wore the #7?

Onomah is awful as a 10. Dominated some U20 World Cup matches as an 8. Winks is an 8.
Alli plays more as a SS and when I say Eriksen back up I mean more as a facilitator and creator. Son and Alli finish chances but don't create as many.

Our pursuit ended once he signed a new deal. We'll find someone as a wide player, we just won't here about whom until the last minute I suspect.
Unlikely to be a new ST. Hard to find a good one when our first choice is rarely subbed. Ever. No striker worth their salt will move to be his understudy on the bench 12 months from a WC.

Wimmer will be sold, just a matter of who for and I'd prefer foreign as the English tax isn't worth it for a 4th CB.

why the **** are we still getting linked to eric ******* dier
Who knows. We aren't selling our 3rd CB if we play to continue a back 3. Probably not even for a back 4.
Whereas as the links to leaving are for DM where better options could be bought.

2 year deal.
lol Everton. Had a bright young prospect all those years ago. He gets sold to Man United and then they get cooked scraps back 13 years later.

And the irony is they're paying him ridiculous money to come back but aren't willing to cough up the money to keep their current local star.

Barkley will probably leave now, win some trophies and then he'll get a heroes reception when he returns at 35 years old on a 500k a week contract.

It's such a strange situation. I suspect it's a signing that's come from above Koeman as well, can't see this being his idea.

tbh you're not going to turn down Man United.

All the best to him in his closing stage of his career, think he will go ok at Everton.

Truth be told, back then we weren't in a position to keep him. Selling him kept us going financially cos things were very tight.

Of course a lot of people were angry that he left, myself included but that was more the way he left by handing in a transfer request on deadline day.

He's not the messiah & won't carry the team on his shoulders, but he's a winner & his experience will be very valuable.

Surprised if there's much hate at all from United fans considering everything he helped win

Can't wait for Sigurdsson and Giroud to get labelled as potato signings as well when they come.

So far all we've done is sign potatoes.

I think all our signings have been great additions, and great additions is the best label for all of them.

None are superstars or proven elite talent but they're great additions.

Klaassen is my only "real concern", since the PL is such a step up from the Eredivisie but Keane & Pickford are proven players and still young.

Sandro for 5m has no risk at all and he looked solid for Malaga and Rooney is depth instead of bloody Arouna Kone.

Bring in Gylfi & Giroud and we've got a much better overall squad than last seasons, even at the loss of Lukaku, IMO.

We'll need to achieve CL in some way shape or form before we can go after players like Salah, Morata, Lacazette, James etc..
