He'd start for Barca even in a back 4 IMO. The only teams I guess that wouldn't need him would be Real, Juve and probs Bayern.

He's got 5 years still on his contract and Soton want to hold him so thats why he's going to cost a fortune. But for teams who can afford it(it's only a figure in the end) he's worth it as he's as good as whats available.

Maybe. Think he's a little overhyped.

Why do people hate on Matic? He's very solid.

Yeah, he's a good footballer but he'll be 29 just before the new season starts. I think we'd be better suited with someone who could be at the club for 10 years and Fabinho fits perfectly.

Oh ok.. 20 million for Lovren is pretty fair I would have thought.
So why do you think the price tag for VVD is excessive when he's a much better player?

40M isn't far off on value for Matic, considering the circumstances, contracted and we are a direct rival.

Yep. You are going to have to pay a little overs from him but he'll be worth it. He'll compliment Pogba and Herrera perfectly.

Thought you didn't trust the papers like when you told me Salah wasn't happening. ;)
Heheh all I said was I'll believe when he is doing the Anfield lean, which he eventually did. Top lad. :D

There is a large difference between 20 million and 70 million though hehe.

Mou is rightly worrying about the here and now. Next season is what it's all about.

Plus he knows Matic.

Certainly not my first choice however he is a good player and as you say should compliment the other two nicely.

Interesting reading.
