Dembele maybe. Dortmund set a price of €150m euros. Barca are trying to negotiate that down as Dembele is a 20 year old with 1 seasons experience in the Bundesliga.

Coutinho no. Ballague has said FSG will not even open discussions about a transfer with Coutinho. It took FSG all of 35 minutes to reject their last bid of £100m. Unlikely he goes this window.

Could you make the bolded part your sig please. I swear you've posted this same comment a dozen or more times now.

That's coz he's not aware of the secret talks revealed by Duncan. Balague doesn't have good sources. He said Isco to City was done and Ramos was joining United.

Until we hear from Dunc again there isn't much to say.

Still dont think we will sell Coutinho. But who really knows? Only time will tell.

But it just makes zero sense from our end.
Isn't he threatening to refuse to play?

No more Mr Nice Guy.

It was reported but pretty sure that's wide of the mark. It's a world cup year. Doubt he will sit out.
You also doubted he'd kick up a fuss at all.

I did but refusing to play is nek level. Who has ever actually done it? Where the club have refused to sell so the player has refused to play?

I mean if you refuse to play, arent you in breach of contract so the club doesnt have to pay you.

So by sitting out, he misses a whole year of his career, he has no match sharpness at all heading into a world cup. Even Brazil might not take him if he hasnt played all season. Plus the amount of money you lose by not getting paid.

Just seems a bridge too far for me. But ****... who knows right?

I read somewhere that couts manager said LFC make it hard for their players to leave when they want to which is unfair.
Lol what a tool
I think it's a fair point, although it's no great secret that the likes of Spurs and Liverpool won't really help out too much if you want a move.

Knowing that, and still signing a long term contract he can't really complain too much.

As for the strike threats, in 99% of the times they're reported it's overblown or made up. Why threaten to strike and leave yourself open to fines and withheld wages when you can just "not be in the right state of mind" or "have a sore back" and achieve the same thing.

Come September 1 I doubt there would be many that would carry through with a threat to strike anyway.

Dembele did go on strike and was suspended. Coutinho has been attending rehab this week with Sturridge.

You'd have to say Coutinho received much better advice in this case. Theres just no need to strike nowadays.
