Persic would go to Real or Barca you'd think. Maybe Juve. Too good to stay at Inter and has been for years.
There isn't really room for him on the wings at Juve and given Inter are in the champions league that might convince him to stay.

A lot of Toon fans reckon this will be his last season at the helm - probably getting sick of the odious owner that is Mike Ashley and his lies and unfulfilled promises. Michael Owen signed back in 2005 is still our record signing...

Must be incredibly frustrating for him to see clubs around us spending big (even newly promoted Fulham are showing their ambition and might come in for Mitro too) while we are slow to do business and have only brought in 1 loan signing (admittedly a popular addition), 1 loan turned permanent and a free transfer. Talk overnight is we are trying to do another loan deal for Ayew from Swansea...

Cashley is also selling our new kits at higher prices than that of bigger, more reputable clubs. Just leaching and exploiting the loyalty of Toon fans (who are hardly the most affluent fans to begin with). If we were an ambitious or successful club challenging for silverware, I could probably understand it but given he just uses the club for a platform for Sports Direct, it's just farcical.

  • £65 Newcastle United
  • £55 Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd (new third strip), West Ham
  • £50 Southampton, Liverpool
  • £60 Juventus, Real Madrid
  • £55 Barcelona, PSG, AC Milan
  • £50 Celtic
Which Ayew is he after from Swansea?

And I agree, think it'll be his last season there unless Ashley sells. Depends on what bigger club would go after him though I guess.

Not sure how true this is BluesMan chef Loonerty but apparently Chelsea could've signed Mbappe for £17,000 but opted to get Dom Solanke instead :D

I guess we will never know. Surely your scouts don't mess up that badly.

He did visit the club as an 11 year old and played a game, but we didnt pass on him for Solanke. Thats just a clickbait story.

Im sure he visited lots of clubs.

Meaningless even if true because he'd have developed in a completely different way.

My bad, forgot Jordan plays for them too. Andre is the one we are linked to supposedly.

I think Rafa is just biding his time at the moment. If Ashley backed him properly or a new owner came in, I reckon he will stay as he seems to genuinely feel something for the club but for now he is just waiting to see if any better offers come along.

I like the guy, consummate professional, young and English. Works hard, tidy enough DM who can fill in at CB if needed. Believe he was captain of the youth sides at Arsenal all the way through his time there which suggests he has leadership qualities. Will be a shame to lose him if he does indeed go but if the rumoured 10m fee is true, that will be pretty good business for us as he came from Arsenal for only 1m I believe.

Reading in between the lines it seems we need to sign a few home grown players to meet the league requirements. So he fits that bill.

What league requirements?

Apparently its bullshit:think:
Most of the replies to that tweet are Blues' fans saying if they did buy him he'd be on loan at Vitesse. Is that a big deal for CFC fans too or are there bot accounts trying to get likes by copying popular tweets? (EDIT: ...And I just saw Bojan doing the same thing above...)

Normally only see that level of gristle with Man U fans bemoaning Mou.
He has family that live in Lara near Geelong.
For real or is that a joke I'm missing?

Definitely useful from that perspective. Will be a great depth option at the very least to have in the squad given his versatility and work rate. Always puts in a shift which is good. Not sure he'd make your best XI unless Hughton plans to play a dedicated holding mid maybe?
