I really liked Bristol.

Bristol is lovely.

London is great too (I live there) - though to hectic/raw for some, like any major busy city.

I've been to Stoke as well lol. Interesting place haha

Norwich, Sunderland and Birmingham were probably the biggest 'meh' places I visited, although all of those were only single day trips to watch City play. Cardiff and Swansea seemed quite nice from what I saw of them. Manchester was decent, and Newcastle pretty good.

I lived in Glenferrie when I was in Melbourne, Hawthorn is nice to this Brit!

Yeah my Dad lived there for a couple of years so I knew that area reasonably well. Not too bad.

I think the nice thing was it got me into the footy culture rightaway (I was near the Glenferrie Oval and Hawthorn had just won the GF, so went to the post season event). It’s hard to fully appreciate just how much footy is a way of life for you guys unless you get involved!

Reckon the only place I’ve visited that I haven’t liked is Melbourne. Congested mess of a city.

No word of a lie. I have been to Adelaide a few times and each time I have preferred it to living in Melbourne.

Silly boy. You left this open to the response being Geelong and then I’d have had to have mashed the report button and pestered chef
I've grown to love Geelong, my daughter lives in Newtown which is awesome(Packington St is so cool nowadays) and Bellarine Peninsula(we have a holiday house in St Leonards)is nice to travel around outside of school holidays. Plus the surf coast on the doorstep and fishing in the bay.

If only the weather didn't suck.

Haven't been to Europe in over a decade, everything's probably changed so much. Meant to be going back in 2026 so hopefully this covid shits sorted by then.
2026 is very specific, is there an event?

Surprising description, it’s often been praised by planners for its grid set up. You’re obviously not from Sydney then as that is way more congested.

As for Hawthorn …one of the pricier suburbs with its nice old homes

We have fewer days of rain than the Gold Coast does.

Geelong traffic is starting to suck massively though with all the Melbourne w***ers moving down here.
