Never been to England, but I always hear people say everywhere but London is a shithole is it actually true?

Nah that's not true. Plenty of places like Bath, Harrogate, Cambridge, etc which are beautiful.

Having been there 5 times in the last 10 years the best part about it is the nightlife and pubs which are up there with Newcastle as the best in the UK. Some of the bad parts are pretty bad like toxteth. Nearest equivalent would probably be Adelaide for me.

Cheshire is also nearby which is pretty swank and a great place to visit. You'll find most (not all) players from Liverpool/Everton/City/Utd are all based in Cheshire. It's a huge attraction for the WAGS.

There really isn't an equivalent up on tyneside. I guess the Saudis could promise new signings a private jet for their families to use to head down to London or Cheshire for the day to make signing there more attractive.

The worst bits of the Gold Coast.

Without the high rises, the beaches and the weather.

It’s good for a night out, but a seriously bleek place. Complete shithole. Coventry was even nicer…

Never heard of it before, it seems to be just a small upper class village outside of Tynside just by googling it.


Cheshire is an entire region full of upmarket high end shopping, classy villages etc. It's a pretty big drawcard for players signing up to play at a North West club (Liverpool, Everton, City, United). Sick of the missus putting on Real Housewives of Cheshire at home lol.
