Baffled you didn’t buy a striker.

You’ll get bent over something shocking in the summer with clubs knowing you’ll likely have 0 on the books July 1.
Yeah, I do wonder what happened with the Isak stuff. He was in London too.

Probably now hear that they never wanted him anyway

Jod suddenly remembers that he spent that whole conversation saying Carvalho's goal return was rubbish.

The deal was he was going to go back on loan for the rest of the season anyway. Now we may end up just paying a small tribunal fee in the summer instead.

I think the suggestion is he's more likely to go to a European club in the summer now. Think this was your chance.

Dortmund? And then probably sold back to an English club for 50m

If Pep Klopp loves him, he'll be at the club.

Unlikely. If he goes to a european club Fulham get no more than the 300k U23 FIFA compensation for an out of contract player. He seems to want to make sure Fulham gets looked after.

Any contract signed with an English club ensures a tribunal fee for Fulham. So the deal being done in summer changes very little as he was being loaned back anyway. Very likely a tribunal compensation fee will be agreed between the two clubs that was the same or similar amount to what the agreed transfer fee was going to be.

That's the entire issue and why Fulham were so receptive to a deal this window. Both clubs ****ed it up and now Fulham are in the mud.

Then League One beckons?

Ooft the predictable joke, come on you're better than that (I'd hope).

As there's a bunch of add-ons in the deal that can rise above 1m I'm surprised you aren't hoping he works out with us.

Just joshin with ya!!

I think you got a bargain too for his age and talent.

Slightly surprised we let him go but we really are full to the brim with youth players trying to break into the main squad.

The long term extension of Sarmiento yesterday was probably a reason why we let him go as there's only so many places on the list and we're not a club to hold players back of they can move to a better situation for their career.

What issue? He wasn't joining up with Liverpool anyway this season. Nothing stopping all 3 parties coming to an agreement for the summer.

Infact

This changes very little as far as him joining Liverpool is concerned.

I'm sure Fulham won't mind too much if he helps them get back to the PL. Gives them another 3 years of parachute payments when they go down again next year

The issue is he's now expected to join a European club in the summer. The thing stopping the 3 parties coming to an agreement in the summer is that Carvalho will no longer be contracted to Fulham then.

Not sure on the relevance of the tweet.

There is nothing stopping all 3 parties from coming to an agreement. Fulham are due to receive a tribunal compensation fee. Liverpool can agree that with Fulham any time they want and agree a new contract with the player that starts in July.

Most sources are saying he wants to play under Klopp. Not sure where you are getting the European thing plus the player seems to care about the club itself making it less likely that he joins a club where Fulham do not receive a tribunal compensation fee.
