Graham Hunter, who is well connected at Barcelona, is reporting that La Liga will not allow any more levers to be pulled and that if they want to register Kounde then they have to sell players.
Well we're about to give them £20m for a guy they signed for free 6 months ago haha🙈

Sure was, I remember him being linked to us too, bullet dodged. Didnt Arsenal pay like 70 odd million or something?

72m pounds, a transaction that ultimately led to the football director at the time, Raul Sanllehi, losing his position with Arsenal after that deal was investigated. The rumours were that he personally received a benefit from the agents involved in that transaction, its never been confimed publicly of course however the position became untenable and the club parted ways with him. Arsenal significantly overpaid and I've felt for Emery during that - he only wanted Zaha however didn't receive the support from the board/ownership that we now see with Arteta.

It is what it is. Pepe just wasn't the player fans thought you're getting with that price tag, and its best for all parties now to go in different directions. Wish him all the best and hope he flourishes back in France.

I suspect the only difference in this transfer compared to others was that the club official was actually caught for trousering some of the cash. Many of the ridiculous transfer fees are only explicable if all those involved got paid.

Emery was spot on, zaha was the right player to bring in, got stiff armed in a shady deal, ****ed the club over as well unfortunately

His career really is a sad football story. He was on track to be one of the very best players in the world, what the hell happened. I’m sure one day we’ll find out because something doesn’t add up. Such a wasted talent.
Read multiple reports saying he became another balotelli had the talent but didn’t want to improve not have the desire to improve thought he was good enough as he was.

Mou called him out multiple times for his lack of effort at training.

So United gets sucked in too. A lot of pressure on the lad.
Going to a place where he knows the coach who has spent the last 3 years with him. He will be fine he won’t feel any pressure the way he plays he is an excitement machine, more so it’s the pressure the media and co and maybe a few fans of United will put on him but he will be fine.
