Rashford has had a good season for Barca and his transfer fee would be about half of Gordon's. Maybe his wages are the issue.

Rashford’s wages are on par with several Barcelona players and below several others, and apparently we were asking for below £30 million to offset the wages between Rashford and Gordon. So I think it would be more age than wages.

Newcastle have done very well with that fee for Gordon. Barca seemingly have that moment every year where they can’t register players due to financial constraints, then all of a sudden the magic beans deliver for a big money signing haha.

I struggle to see the appeal of Tottenham for Robertson. Surely there's other (better) clubs out there that would be interested in him?
I reckon he'll be given the armband there, and a big signing on fee if I had to guess that smaller clubs can't match. Plus with his kids entering school age they probably want to keep them in the UK.

But I agree with you and have said as much on here and the LFC thread.

Sounded like Juve tried.

That probably makes more sense with the kids aspect.

I still think the talent is still there enough for someone to be interested - which it sounds like it was based off of SM's comment on Juve.

He's going to one of the biggest clubs in the UK if not the world with a huge fanbase and best training facilities in the UK. If he stays injury free he will start every game.

Atletico Madrid wanted him last year and he wanted to go so it's possible he goes overseas still.

Tottenham a big club? Carn lol! Them having a shiny stadium and being good for a few years decades ago doesn't make them a big club in my eyes. Villa are a bigger club imo.

It doesn't help that Sky Sports spend a disproportionate amount of time talking about them tbf.

Are you getting mixed up? He's leaving Liverpool, not joining.

Disagree on one of the biggest clubs in the UK - they're also in a terrible position at present.

I'm not suggesting he wouldn't start every game for them, I'm suggesting he's too good for them.

He wouldn't have started every game had he joined us, surely there's no chance he starts every game for Spurs. They also have a horrific injury record with their ground, there's no chance he stays fit.

From all reports RDZ will put a giant broom through their squad too. And should do the same with their medical team like WCE did after all their injury problems a few years back.

I don't know if it's the medical team or the playing surface though, which would be harder to resolve.

I'm not sure either, Real have a similar system with their pitch and don't get the volume of injuries Spurs do so it's a weird one.

They've been investigating the ground and so far found no material difference in hardness or 'bounce' than some away venues they tested or the training facility.
