I will be very disappointed when/if Ronaldo leaves. A great player, and I an happy we got a few great years out of him...

However, what I cant comprehend is how ONE player is worth 60 million pounds. And do Real Madrid even really need him. With a team that includes RvN, Raul and Robinho, surely another R will disrupt balance in the team.

Give me a few months to get over him leaving and I will be able to think normally...:(

That said 60million POUNDS!!!!!! Thats a shitload of cash and possible replacements...

Papers are saying that Real and Barcelona are both offering net salaries of 150k to 200k a week for Ronaldo. FFS, no footballer is worth that fee and weekly wage.

Or debt repayments for a year. :D

Gold.

It hurts, but it's still gold.

So Big Jo from Mos-co is joining/has joined for 20m??

What do you reckon Moombs? 33 goals (not counting pens.)?

I mean, you should expect that from a 20m striker, right... ;) He was (part) owned by Kia too isn't he?

I can't say that I know too much about him, but people who've seen him say he's a good fit for the premier league.

34 goals would be nice, but I think he'd need 15-20 in his first season to justifty the money we're spending on him. Any less than that and I think we'd be better off getting someone like Anelka in for not much over half the price.

Kia and Pini Zahavi have been doing a lot of scouting/agenting for us. Not sure whether he owns Jo or is just his agent, but for £20 I'd hope we'd end up 100% owners of him. Then we'll get him a decent Brazilian name and a decent haircut (not a Brazilian).

I quite like the look to be honest. Keep it :thumbsu:

I like the name too. Can't beat having a "Big Jo" running around in the Premier League.

FC + DC will know what I mean.

Our CSKA Dream Team. Wasn't that a pisser. Big Jo, Big Jules, Big Deano etc. ____ that was a funny night.

Looks like an entertainer. He'll be happy to get out of Russia too, from some of the horrible stories I've heard him talk about (The one in the Maccas was disgraceful)

Not of Jo. Maybe some Sunday Leaguer for that kind of money :p

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence over his future by reportedly declaring a desire to move to Real Madrid.

The transfer story of the summer gathers pace by the day but prior to speaking to Brazilian website Terra, little of note had been offered by the Manchester United winger.

Sir Alex Ferguson and United's owners, the Glazer family, are united in their stance that Ronaldo will not be allowed to quit Old Trafford but their resolve to keep him will now be further tested by the player's latest declaration.

Speaking from Portugal's training base in the Swiss city of Neuchatel, Ronaldo admitted, according to Terra, that a move to the Spanish capital appealed.

"I want to play for Real Madrid, but only if it is true they are eager to pay me and Manchester United what they have been saying they will," said Ronaldo.

Message received

"However, it does not depend on me. It is important to send a message.

"From now on I will not talk again about this until the end of the Euros. It is not worth asking me because I will not reply."

On Wednesday, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said he would not risk ruining his club's relationship with Manchester United by bidding for a player under contract.

However, now Ronaldo has signalled his intent for a future in Spain, it could be Madrid that make the next move

Im going to launch a cunning plan to become a Liverpool fan. By January Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano will all be sold, in straight swaps for Darren Fletcher, Emmanuel Eboue and Alan Smith.

And Riise will be resigned for 3 years, with a 2 year option.

All I need now is to control my urge to throw-up when thinking about liking the Scousers...;):p

See that's just horrible enough as it is

But that's going too far you sick sadistic bastard!

:D

Apparently, Sky Sports in the UK is saying that the quotes are made up and that Ronaldo hasnt given any interviews. Also, they said that the webiste/paper that the Journo who claimed this inteview, isnt even in Switzerland.
Man this is fuked up.
It could be a false alarm.

The more you read the quotes, the more they seem bullshit.
I mean you dont come out and blatently say that its about the money.
If it was Ronaldo talking he would chirp about his dreams ra ra ra.
I hope the quotes are fake

True, although at the moment it is just a quote coming from a Brazilian newspaper. No confirmation from the Portugeezers or the prancing pony himself.

Fair enough, very harsh...:p

Anyway, in regards to transfer rumours, Spalletti (AS Roma manager) is entering the frame to be the next Chelsea boss...

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...nvincing-lampard-to-opt-for-inter-840371.html

The new leading contender appears to be Luciano Spalletti, who led Roma to second place in Serie A as well as the quarter-finals of the Champions League in each of the last two seasons. But his arrival at Stamford Bridge could depend on Gianfranco Zola being named as his assistant...

Reports saying that Dos Santos said " I will be playing for Tottenham next season" after Mexico's friendly with Argentina.

Hleb seems to have had a pre-agreement with Inter all the time, but now Mourinho has said he doesn't want him. Hleb's agent has spoken to Barcelona, but there's no agreement yet.

Its ok man.
Nearly a year on at that shit still stings.
If Ronaldo does leave, it will be the end of me.
My heart can't take this shit no more! :(
Assuming that article is true, it doesn't actually state when we wanted to leave. We all know he wants to eventually play in Spain and at this stage, Real Madrid.

Someone mentioned goal.com is very questionable. But don't they get their articles based on whats reported elsewhere? One obvious dodgy thing with goal.com, is the headlines are totally exaggerated. "Ruud: Life was sh*t at United". He only spoke at how the situation was sh*t when he was preparing for the World Cup in 06.
