In all seriousness though I get what Ed Gein is saying. I mean, I prefer the 80's, where those gay folks mostly stayed in the closet. And if they didnt, well, they only had themselves to blame when they accidentally fell of cliffs around Bondi.

I mean, I dont have a problem with gay people, none at all. But dont go rubbing it in my face, I dont want to think about what disgusting stuff you get up to, dont make me confront your perversions, just stay nicely in the closet and pretend you havent found the right woman yet like you used to.

Like Ed I see one of these flags and it freaks me out. Perhaps like me all Ed can think about is two cowboys, kind of mid 30's, all sweaty after a long day mustering cattle and such, shirts open, hairy chests glistening with sweat, their hands all over each others muscular bodies as they succumb to passion, hard hands raw from hard work digging into muscle, their bodies locked in passion. I dont want that rubbed in my face. yessiree no. No. Please.

Suicide isn't exclusive to gay people. It affects people of all walks of life.

I'm not suggesting gay people should "stay in the closet" either, but what's wrong with a bit of decorum (for lack of a better term)? Why should it be everyone's business to know someone is a homosexual? Why should it matter when sexuality shouldn't be a defining characteristic in getting along with someone?

By the way I wasnt referencing suicide, but now you mention it, the LGBT community is massively over represented in suicide statistics, and the section of the LGBT (note - for some reason you insist on using LGB, I wonder why?) most prone are the trans community;.

On the last - why the actual **** do people have to modify their behaviour because you havent adjusted to the world. Why? You have a problem, thats fine, but why do other people have to modify their behaviour becasuse you have a problem with it? Get over yourself.

Try this sentence - Why should it be everyones business to know someone is a Sikh? why should it matter when religion isnt a defining characteristic in getting along with someone? Now take those turbans off!

Maybe people should be free to acknowledge who they are, and your squeamishness is your problem, not theirs?

Would two men walking down the street holding hands be OK or would that not show enough decorum? What if they kissed?

Sexuality shouldn't be a defining characteristic, on that we agree. Problem is that for some people they haven't been free to simply love whoever they want to love without discrimination and/or violence so it's become a defining characteristic.

My care factor for who someone else marries is pretty low, whether that's a male or a female, but some people have very big feelings about whether someone they don't know marries a male or a female.

For many years gay people have been persecuted, in some countries they are legally allowed to be killed for being gay (it still is in 2023). It has really only been in the last decade or two that they have been accepted as part of normal functioning society, even in first world countries.

It is really that big of a deal for them to celebrate it? Like who cares?

Wasn't necessary but why do you care? Genuine question. What is the point of all of this complaining? How do you even plan to stop this? Legislate a bill that limits how much gayness there can be in a thing?
