Please be aware that the tolerance of anti-trans language on BF is at an all-time low. Jokes and insults that are trans-related, as well as anti-trans and bigoted rhetoric will be met with infractions, threadbans etc as required. It's a sensitive (and important) topic, so behave like well-mannered adults when discussing it, PARTICULARLY when disagreeing. This equally applies across the whole site.

With that in mind, a person cannot be a member of a race when their genetics are not. The same applies in a strict sense to gender.
So are trans women "real women"? Should trans women like Laurel Hubbard be able to compete against biologically assigned women at the Olympics?

If you're born biologically male, can you ever be "a member" of a different gender? In the above post, you seem to be suggesting that genetics are the determining factor.
