I have noticed that Travis Clioke has not been the same type of player he was since the bashing incident that happened up north earlier this year.
He simply has lost his mojo since that incident, would others agree?
I really think he has had a lot of responsibilty, put on his shoulders with Rocca's absence and i don't think it is a physical problem.
He definately has been bothered with something psycological that is stopping him play his best footy.

Your thoughts ?

agree with Daics' Cousin he seems to be thinking twice before going into a pack marking contest, and I've seen him a few times shirk the contest and it has really got me worried!!

I think it is the delivery from our mids that is the problem. Oh, and the gameplan. He would get more opportunities if we were able to get it to him quickly via the corridor.

IMO he's definitely been rattled by the incident, but our game plan doesn't help either.

Needs to be dropped for a couple of weeks to the two's the regain his confidence.

Our gameplan.

Yep.

It's served us well over the years but we have been founded out. We have no contingency plan and we give up the corridor far too easily, even if the opposition don't want to useit. We basically force them to use it because all we seem to do is cover the wide areas.

How can a key forward be restricted to leading wide, particularly when the opposition know that the space is limited and they can chop it off and rebound easy?

It's becoming increasingly sad IMO. We have one of the best forward lines in the competition, better than Geelong and second behind Hawthorn IMO, yet we have only managed to score more than 13 goals on one occassion this season.

Talk about inefficient style of play.

Thanks Mick.

i highly doubt the incident has had any effect on him, most guys have been involved in something similar at some point.

imo its the game plan, you guys rarely seem to use the corridor and always seem to kick it wide, it makes it a lot harder for forwards

I say that the bashing incident has got nothing to do with how he is playing atm. It's our gameplan.

He was hardly a force in 08 either. It's a combination of the game plan, the loss of Rocca and the role he seems to have been given and now just poor form. The incident may have impacted his confidence and form slightly but it is hardly the deciding factor IMO.

Even though he wasn't good on Saturday I thought there was some improvement of his form from previous weeks.

I also agree that our game plan is not helping him, nor any of our other forwards.

There's every chance it's the game plan and form, but also a chance his mind isn't right after the incident.

More so the death of the man accused than the bashing incident I feel.
