Dougal Howard, Port Adelaide has been charged with Striking Harry Taylor, Geelong Cats, during the second quarter of the Round 14 match between Port Adelaide and the Geelong Cats, played at Adelaide Oval on Saturday June 22.

Amon wont be able to successfully appeal it as Rohan went off and stayed off for the rest of the game.

Howard we should appeal have to argue it was low not medium impact as Taylor didn't have any affect on him.

Can't see us contesting either and getting a win. Amon's was a accident, can live with that cause once Rohan got ruled out of the game Amon was done. As ridiculous as the rules around it are, there isn't a defence we can mount to get him off.

But Dougal's was the height of stupidity, regardless of the AFL letting other guys off, for Dougal to just turn around and belt Taylor in the chest wasn't his best move.

Amon always getting a game or 2. Howard bit rough considering all the other occasions players let off. But coz we take it up the rear and never question anything, we are used as the example to all other clubs

In all honesty, the Amon ruling is one of the more sensible that the mro has come up with. There would have been no surprise if he had thrown the book at him, ruled it intentional and made us challenge it. But to rule it as careless and medium is pretty reasonable and the 1 week is about right.

Would've preferred fines but the week each is probably there...just.
Pity for Amon...he got the wrong bloke. Probs could have hit anyone else and nothing happens. Rohan seems to get concussion pretty easily.

At least we can cover both guys quite well atm.
