I still reckon there will be plenty (obviously Not Janus or edgie) that will come out from the concert going 'wow that was unbelievable' whilst thinking to themselves ' farrk just I paid $190 for a bunch of metal I've never even heard of'

this is what they played in 2011 when i saw them (ignore the numbers and weird formatting):

  1. That Was Just Your Life

  2. The End of the Line
  3. For Whom the Bell Tolls
  4. Fuel
  5. Fade to Black
    Broken, Beat & Scarred
  6. Wherever I May Roam
  7. Sad but True
  8. The Unforgiven
  9. All Nightmare Long
  10. One
  11. Master of Puppets
    Fight Fire With Fire
  12. Nothing Else Matters
  13. Enter Sandman
    Encore:
    Am I Evil?

  14. Hit the Lights

  15. Seek & Destroy

was pretty happy with that tbh. i actually liked death magnetic at the time but was ok with just 3 songs from it because theyre all about 10 minutes each.

would have loved dyers eve but lars is too incompetent to play that these days

This is the latest set list I found for the tour:
  1. "Hardwired"
  2. "Atlas, Rise!"
  3. "Seek & Destroy"
  4. "Harvester of Sorrow"
  5. "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)"
  6. "Now That We're Dead"
  7. "Dream No More"
  8. "For Whom the Bell Tolls"
  9. "Halo on Fire"
  10. "Am I Evil?" (Diamond Head cover)
  11. "Creeping Death"
  12. "Moth into Flame"
  13. "Sad but True"
  14. "One"
  15. "Master of Puppets"
Encore
  1. "Spit Out the Bone"
  2. "Nothing Else Matters"
  3. "Enter Sandman"

45% of their set list is new material or covers. Of course, I don't mind Hardwired so I'm okay with them playing stuff from it.

So apparently set list from Metallica World Wired Tour is, unsurprisingly, predominantly songs from Hardwired... with just a handful of oldies

I reckon if you go to a Metallica show it show be 80% classics / 20% new, like Soundwave was, not the other way around

I reckon there'll be plenty of punters disappointed

They change the setlist every show.

Point Break is a great movie. I rate it better than pop culture juggernaut Die Hard when it comes to movies of the genre and era.

It's a timeless classic.

[high pitched Australian accent] "Weellgeddimweneegumsbackeen"
[deeply serious Keanu voice] "Heaintgomminbaggin"

[Patrick Swayze body double surfing intensifies]

The last gig they played, 11 out of 18 songs were classics. I'd be happy with that.

Mid 80's I think Dennis Hopper, Crispin Glover (lol) & Keanu good film

Heaps of Slayer in the soundtrack all from the debut album.

I can't believe you lot haven't seen it.
It's Crispin Glover's finest moment.

Yeah I saw them for that tour in London. O2 Arena was perfect for that round stage.

I always thought that Cop on the beach sounded like a New Zealander choofing helium.
