Three things I took from this:
- Lydon is a funny campaigner when he's on a roll.
- Rollins is a passive-aggressive ****head.
- Americans take themselves waaaay too seriously.
I remember seeing him on Judge Judy once - he was in dispute with a drummer who reckons Rotten punched him and owed him 5 grand. Judy sided with old mate.

My brother is a mechanic, and over Christmas/NY break we looked at some car stuff on carsales.com.au seriously at first, and then started looking around for outrageous stuff. We were shocked at some of the prices. Him less so than me, but still he said you're ****ing kidding a few times.

He hogged the stage and was obnoxious but that's to be expected.
His point about politics was pretty salient. It's very easy for some ageing generic 'Ramone' wearing a wig to let rip with a "**** Trump" but what's the deeper debate about? What's he ever stood for?
Lydon is dealing with some heavy personal shit these days, so I'd be viewing his performance (which is what it was) with that in mind. There's a great interview on YouTube from last year that delves into it.
I gave up before he got to his politics but he just came across as the half cut old uncle at the family gathering talking over the top of everybody and blathering on about how much better he was back in the day

He's generally an intelligent and insightful guy worth listening to, but that wasn't on display here. I understand he has some personal issues and seemed intoxicated but there's nothing thought provoking about talking over other people and repeating lame insults.
I thought the whole thing was just sad but kudos to Rollins for talking about some Australian bands that are making music now. I don't doubt that the other guests would have too but Lydon is just "me, me, me, everyone else is shit"
He's always been like that I find it amusing, if you organise something involving John he will take over and barb everyone that's his game.

My mother in law’s partner is a mechanic also and every now and then he gets his hands on something nice. He advertises them for fun almost, tens of thousands over their market value, just on the off chance that some absolute wood duck bumps into it.
