we've entered "no ones released any good music since the 90s" territory
there's nothing like the energy of seeing a band that's just nailed it's first album, small venue, everyone losing their shit. the vibes are insane. idles in early 2019 was a bit like that, even if i haven't been big on anything beyond the second album.

i saw full of hell/thou in canberra last year and the intensity was crazy.
viagra boys are ****ing killer live.
deafheaven just dropped one of the best albums of the last 5 years. lonely people with power is amazing.

The theremin is criminally underused in modern music
Tom Waits used one on The Black Rider album, he was bored to death with generic instrumentation 40 years ago though hence trash can percussion, hammers clanking bolts, barn tools & sounds of the street.
