Second worst mass shooting in our history.
That's if you ignore shooting of indigenous Australians, both pre and post 1st January 1901.

7 News reporting the hero at Bondi is Ahmed el Ahmed a fruit shop owner in Sutherland who got shot in the leg it was his hand resting on his leg that was bleeding, and the vision they showed suggested he got shot in the shoulder as well.

Edit confirmed got shot twice and is undergoing surgery.

Hatred breeds more hatred breeds more hatred.

Nothing good will come of this. Rednecks and Neo-Nazi's will get worse because of it, and potentially violently target members of immigrant communities. Which will then stir up extremist elements of those communities to respond in kind. And it becomes tit for tat.

The whole thing is just sad.
100%. We can all probably guess what ongoing world event triggered a couple of a couple of Arab guys to shoot up a Jewish event. And that event kicked off in earnest because of the October 7 attacks. And the October 7 attacks happened because of the oppression of Palestinians in Gaza that already existed prior to the current war. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

I'm sure all the 'gUeSs wHeRe tHe sHoOtErS wErE fRoM' ****wits populating Facebook comment sections right now will sweep this hero under the rug once they hear his name.

The only thing for sure is that it's a ****ing travesty and tragedy that the never ending issues in the middle east have to spill over in to other countries. 7 decades of it and it's not getting any better. Debating about fault is pointless. It's gone too far. All of it.

I'm not a naive hippy to think it can be fixed overnight but it needs to stay there. The fight needs to stay on the soil they're fighting over. The war and murder and terror. Not this soil. Not any other soil.

A succession of Sky News talking heads repeatedly referencing pro-Palestine protests and ‘toxic universities’ as somehow responsible for radicalising a pair of Arab blokes who would’ve been well-versed on the topic well in advance of the recent mainstream societal pivot to “hmm, genocide is bad even if the victims are brown, and a country probably shouldn’t be allowed to do that for years even if they are historically allied to the west, aye”.

Just baffling messaging designed to gin up the usual culture war fückwits.

Good chance the the cops nearby get confused and shoot at him if the see him shooting a gun.

100%.

I saw footage of when the two were neutralised on the footbridge.

The first civilian to reach them and signal for the cavalry happened to be in a black shirt and have brown skin.

He was initially misidentified as a threat by the first couple of cops, and I think it was the bald bloke who was later seen stomping on one of the actual shooters took a swing at him.

The bravery is even more meritorious, considering.

It's so delicate.

It needs to be called out how these men from those cultures stood against the terror, but if you do it too loudly it will ultimately come off bad and only incite certain sections of society, only seem like a distraction from the core issues.

A father and son who were only peripherally known to police. So hardly lunatic radicals screaming hate filled speech from street corners.

Heard one journo asking how did they get the guns? Maybe do some research or just read legacy media.

Gun numbers are on the rise – there are now more than 4m firearms in the Australian community, almost double the 2.2m weapons recorded in 2001, after the national firearms agreement, according to a report commissioned by gun safety groups.

At least 2,000 new guns are lawfully entering the community every week.

And while the number of gun licence holders per capita has gone down as Australia’s population has soared, there is now a larger number of guns in the community per capita than there was in the immediate aftermath of the crackdown.

I drink long blacks and double espressos, so I’m automatically superior (at least in my mind) then all of your milk drinking cucks….

But really, dairy gives me the shits and all other milks taste like ass to me

Yea I've started getting back into long blacks & espressos, it was flat whites from a number of cafes around town that just tasted like hot milk that did it.

First up it will be universal condemnation, then a few weeks later it will be made into political football for all sides of the spectrum while nothing changes and nothing gets settled, while the government and opposition across the board just continues on its merry way spending our money on themselves and driving inflation while contributing nothing to the worst issues in the world.

It's all very tiresome.
Netanyahu already blaming Albo. Jesus dickhead, the Muslims hate you for being a campaigner already, nothing to do with anything the Australian Prime Minister does.

Netanyahu is the biggest cint in the world. Worse than Putin, he’s just putting himself and his political survival over his own people all the ****ing time for almost zero real gain. At least Putin has a plan.
