Banter TRTTT Part 16 - How good are fingerless gloves

A few years ago it was brought to my attention that scores of Afghan immigrant families were buying up cheap housing trust properties around Blair Athol. They then proceeded to fill up all these shop fronts down the dodgy end of prospect road with their restaurants and little supermarkets and bakeries. It's ****ing amazing down there. Everyone should go and check it out

That would include police gunfire and that would include semi and possibly full automatic gunfire.
divide by 2 and you still are at 50+. 15 people were killed + at least 38 injured and went to hospital + missed shots by the gunmen + people shot multiple times like hero Ahmed al Ahmed and that says the weapons weren't single shot, shot guns used in this attack.

Could certainly look a lot nicer but the food is tops.

The Ghan Kebab House is worth a look.

Also, Mehl Wa Sekkar is a little hole in the wall Syrian joint at Welland Plaza, and it's even better. Try the lamb mandi, I don't remember having nicer takeaway meat in my life. Shawarma and kibbeh also very good.

Gotta question how someone known to support IS remains in the country
The 24-year-old murderer Naveed Akram who ASIO confirmed was an ISIS sympathiser is an Australian-born citizen.

and can get immediate family members to purchase firearms.
That is a valid issue. A review and tightening of state and federal gun purchase/ownership laws is long overdue. Something that Pauline Hanson, with her NRA links, is strongly opposed to btw.

It’s changed a lot then I used to have a house off prospect rd at the city end.
Was full of Italians in those days.

As I said previously a lot of these types are born in Australia but the hate runs from their upbringing.
Anyone who thinks these types can be educated to change are delusional.
All in the name of there God.
Once religious hatred infiltrates your country it’s fkd.

I was only commenting that the number of shots fired would include police gunfire (which is confirmed in the article).

At this time it seems they were using pump action shotguns and single pull bolt action rifles.

Police are yet to reveal officially which weapons were used in the attack, but Dr John Coyne, the director of the national security program at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, said it appeared that among the weapons police found at the scene, the terror suspects had a bolt action high-powered rifle and shotguns.

Sounds like what happened around the Woodville North/Pennington area around Grand Junction Road/ Addison Road/Hanson Road as Vietnamese migrants left their refugee accommodation to take up life as Australian citizens and shop owners.

The Vietnamese immigration program of the late 70s was a proud legacy of the Fraser Government and faced much of the same ignorant backlash we see now with migrants from other nations.

Heck the ‘swamped with Asians’ rhetoric is what Pauline Hanson used to get a foothold to a golden ticket to a career in politics. She’s moved on to using other racial stereotypes to feed her base now of course. She would have had a field day in the 60s with the Italian/Greek/Eastern European ‘ New Australians’ of the Menzies era.

My first and only comment on this matter.

By the looks one of the world’s longest disputes has now come to our shores.

No thanks to Benji's massacre of innocent civilians & Albo's get in free Aus card....
Yes Albanese offering asylum to refugees from Gaza is clearly the reason two Pakistani men, who have been in Australia for over a decade have attacked a Jewish celebration.
As Pauline would say, please explain, isn't it time we shut the border...
Most people with an ounce of sense ignore what Pauline says

Ollie Peake looks like Australia’s next generational batsman. I think he hit the middle of his bat more in that 20-odd ball innings than I did in my whole cricket ‘career’
I follow the shield games a bit, he hasn’t set the world of fire playing for the Vics.
I’d guess he’d average under 30 but I agree there is big wraps on him.

Hey Feel. This post of yours copied below troubled me when you first posted it a few weeks back but I never commented as I was sure I was missing the joke and getting too sensitive yet again in a joke thread on a footy forum. I showed it to my kids and they missed the joke as well.

It still troubles me especially given events of the past 24 hours. Your previous posting history makes it clear that you're not anti-semitic so could you explain and put my mind at ease.

Thanks.
irony-poisoned internet stuff, hard to understand unless you grew up on the internet

Its anti-semetic, but also 'funny' to encourage reposting

The joke is that the last square isn't Jewish, hes a school shooter. thats basically it.

Feel sees the face, he laughs, he reposts. This is an uncomplicated man.
