I have been reading about this lately and it is truly creeping me out, it is the fear of clusters of holes.

Google image search it for the pictures, some of the images are obviously photoshopped but are truly disgusting and make my skin crawl and itch for hours.

This shit is ****ed up

The stuff like honeycomb and pancakes cooking didn't do anything, though the weird frog thing was a little odd to look at. Calling it a phobia is probably a stretch though, more just an eye-sore.

I have a unique strain called Bigfooty Carlton Board Trypophobia, it's an aversion to clusters of arseholes

Definitely, pictures of Osteoporosis have always given me that tingly skin sensation.

My mother was a nurse and I remember back in the 70's looking at her 60's nursing textbooks and wondering wtf with just about every photograph. Black and white seemed to make the ailments worse.

The funny thing was that as an under 10 you think everyone will get every one of those ailments at some stage in their lives.

Sorry. I mean, like when does it become a phobia over something you don't like?

I guess if it's a genuine phobia then there has to be a strong "fear reaction" physiologically when the phobia is invoked, yeah?

Like, I hate spiders strongly, but it's not like it raises my heart rate to a ridiculous level when I see one; I just don't want to get too close because I'd prefer not to.

I mean, how could you have a real phobia of bunches of holes? It doesn't make sense to me, as in I honestly don't get it. It would have to be just a general mental illness and getting fixated on some random thing. It's not even rational like spiders, snakes, murderers or needles.

Anything that involves grubs/larvae being extracted from a person or another animal makes me recoil quite a bit. Like this video.

Disgusting. But it's like watching those videos on YouTube of people having cysts on their back drained - you can't help but watch.

Definitely agree with you. It's definitely a mental thing, maybe it provokes memories of something in someones childhood.
