Listen I felt I had to put this guy up as a thread, simply to say "ya gotta be joking' if you people are serious about giving up a young prospect like Polak, or for that matter anyone on our list with the exception of someone like ...say Walker. Check the stats for disposals, the guy finished 60th, he is just an average hard working midfielder. Don't for one second give it a thought to trade for him...heaven forbid. Sometimes I wonder about some of you freo supporters, if you really know your football?? forget tuck.

Polly was surplus to our requirements for the second half of this season. Although I'd be delighted to keep him (I think he will be a gun), we're gonna lose him no matter what. He wants to move on. So do we get a hard-working but average midfielder, who's good at clearances (something we need!) for Polly or lose him for nothing, probably to Carlton in the PSD. I'd rather get something.

redgum... have you even seen tuck play?

He is a hard working bid bodied midfielder... who wins a lot of clearances and first possesions. good around stoppages.

While I think Polak is worth more than him (not better, but worth more), Tuck would be a welcome addition to Freo and an upgrade from Cook or McManus.

Tuck is exactly what we need..
He`s a tall midfielder who`s fast becoming a clearance specialist. While he hasn`t been outstanding for Richmond there isn`t a great deal of support, on the ball, for him there. He is young and IMHO he would fit into our midfield better than anyone else possibly on offer! (Only if he`s interested in coming to Freo)

So what do you think we should get for Polak? Keeping him isn't an option. He's out of contract and has off field issues. A straight swap for Tuck would be a massive win, I doubt it will happen though.

From what I've seen of him, Tuck fits the mould of a "real goer". He has really developed his game over the last few years, and there is value in players who improve themselves.

Sadly, I could him displacing Macca.

Dylan Smith version 2.0?

I was impressed by him in a few of the tigers games this year, but is he consistent?

You'd be winning in this trade, a 188cm midfielder who leads his team in clearances would be a handy addition to your side IMO. Polak is surplus to your requirements, even though i think he will become a good player at another club you should take what you can get.

Dylan Smith was 4 feet tall, Tuck is an inch or two shorter than Pav.

LOL.Dylan Smith Mark 2. You haven't seen him play obviously.

He did almost identical numbers to Josh Carr.

I thought Mr Wombat was grasping too. Tuck has runs on the board.

I havnt seen him play that often. What I have noticed is he has reasonable decision making as well as being a real tryer.
Polak's main problem is his brain freezes. I've said back in '04 his decision making needed some fine tuning. Two years later their has been only slight improvement.

Going on a swap as things stand right now. I'd swap.
Both players will only be depth players in '07 anyway and I'd rather have someone with a brain.

I think we know footy mate, we know the rule that if you dont sign a player he walks with no compensation....you seem not to know this. ALternatively you are one of the trade Polly for Ray (and lets overlook the fact that the Dogs wont do that deal)

Tuck is greater than nothing ....check
Tuck strengthens an area where we are actually deficient...check

Tuck aint a superstar but I'd be happy to pull the trigger, especially as Polly dont want to play with us ....dont want to be here - I dont want you here.

Tuck is a gun, starting middy for the tiges. You'd need to give up more than jusdt Polak for him.
