Jacko: Hey Bocky, I'm a huge fan of yours mate, but with the new GWS and Gold Coast teams coming in, is there any chance of you leaving? I hope you don't!

Nathan Bock: Thanks Jacko, no i dont think there is any chance of me leaving.

Sam: How are the contract negotiations going, Bocky? We want you to stay!

Nathan Bock: yeh the contract negotiations are coming along ok, thanks fur the support

Don: if you couldnt play for the crows, which other club would you consider and why??

Nathan Bock: always been a huge geelong supporter growing up, and they would be my second team of preference other than the crows.

Ben: Hi Bocky, when are you signing up for the Gold Coast?? A lazy $600,000 a year wouldn't go astray!!

Heath: I want to know and be honest are you leaving at the end of the year.I have followed you from day dot and want a HONEST!! answer Please.

Nathan Bock: Hi Ben, $600k a year would be nice but i dont think thats the case. very happy here at adelaide.

Neil Craig said:
"Players have a right to negotiate, but what I would want to know is if they've made a decision … I'd like to know that decision. The discussions that I've had with both Chris and Nathan have indicated to me that negotiations are taking place," Craig said.

...Negotiations with the suns...

Nathan Bock says he has never spoken to Gold Coast and will definitely re-sign with the Crows.

"Adelaide gave me the opportunity to play AFL, coming off the rookie list, so it would be nice," Bock said about being a one-club player.

"The media have been talking about that sort of stuff for most of the year now. I'm not sure where they get a lot of their information from and [me going to Gold Coast] is news to me.

"My manager has been in contact with the club and I'm confident with where it's at. It will look after itself in due time, but there's no reason not to [stay at Adelaide]."

Crows lover: Hey Bocky... so do you think you will go to the Gold Coast?

Nathan Bock: i am really happy here at Adelaide and would have no reason to leave

Crows lover: But wouldn't you liek to move to the GC, good for your surfing career, right?

Nathan Bock: The gold coast is a great place for a vacation but i am quite happy here in Adelaide, I grew up here and really enjoy playing with the crows

- I have not been approached by the GC
- I want to be part of the crows next premiership campaign with this young group
- I am grateful to the club for giving me an opportunity from the rookie list

A lot in this link :p just quote it all..

ADELAIDE defender Nathan Bock wants a three-year contract extension to be a Crow for life.

Amid mounting speculation he is bound for the Gold Coast Suns, Bock declared he wants to play in Adelaide's next premiership alongside Patrick Dangerfield, who yesterday inked a new two-year deal to stay at West Lakes.

"A three-year deal would be great," Bock revealed to The Advertiser. "I would like to think I've got another three or four years of football left in me, if not five years - that would be nice - but no doubt (a three-year deal is preferable).
"It's always been a possibility, it's just one thing that we're working through."

Olarenshaw's absence, coupled with Bock's desire to concentrate on recapturing his best fitness and form, has delayed the signing of a new deal for the key defender. But the Woodville-West Torrens draftee - who has played 110 AFL games since making his debut in 2004 - loves what he sees when he looks around the changeroom at West Lakes.

"We've got that forward line of (Kurt) Tippett and (Taylor) Walker and then there's (Rory) Sloane and a lot of other guys who have shown great improvement so anything's a possibility," Bock said when asked if a premiership is realistic before his career finishes.
"They're all playing some great footy and to play that sort of footy against a side like Geelong (in round 16) was very exciting."

Selected at No. 25 in the 2002 rookie draft, Bock says he will be forever indebted to Adelaide for launching his AFL journey.
"Adelaide gave me the opportunity to play AFL football coming off the rookie list," Bock said.
"They showed faith in me and I've been here nine years now so it would be great (to be a one club player)."
Speculation is rife - particularly in Victoria - Bock is almost certain to sign with the Gold Coast Suns. The reliable Crow has heard the rumours but insists there is no basis to them, adding he has not been approached by a rival club.
"They've (media) been talking all that sort of stuff for most of the year now," Bock said.
"I'm not sure where they get a lot of their information from. It's news to me but as I said I'm comfortable with where it's at and it will work itself out."

i'm actually surprised he bothered learning his teammates names...

In his defense he only named the players he will probaly play on next year.

Makes me wish we still had Roo on the paddock so he could lay one of his crunching bumps and make him wish he had never left.

Who do we have now to show some muscle... Maric? :)

Bernie doesn't seem to mind throwing his weight around. Give him the job.

The best revenge would be Tex, Tippett or Hendo kicking a huge bag on him :thumbsu:

Either that, or if they play him up forward put Davis on him. Then when he keeps him to donuts and pushes forward to kick one himself, we can reminisce on the time that Bock kept Davis to a goal...much in the same fashion as I look back fondly on the time that Tredrea kept Rutten to a goal in that semi-final :D
