If a girl was strong/skilled/tough etc enough and wanted to play in the AFL, could they nominate for the draft or are there rules in place for men-only?

I reckon if there was a girl determined enough out there to do it, she'd do it, rules or no rules. I'd also say a fair few blokes would happily support her doing it.

I'm not sure about that. I would guess most blokes would be fairly uncomfortable playing a rough sport with a female.

Would a player feel the same about smashing Brown's face in that they would if they were smash some women's face in?

They play every week knowing they could permanently scar someone.

If there's a sport to allow women to compete with the men first I don't think it will be one as rough as Aussie Rules.

Nah, I don't like the idea either......I'm all for equality, but this just wouldn't/shouldn't work..

..keep them as is IMO..

Scared they'd get thumped? lol

Hair pulling is against the rules...

I'm going to get in trouble for saying that.

In all seriousness though it is socially taboo for a male to be overly aggressive or physical towards a female. It would be very conflicting.

Speaking as a bloke who has played a lot of mixed sport, you collide with another guy, you are generally on an equal footing. Size and build varies but with a few exceptions, not that much. Collide with a chick and all bets are off, both for psychological reasons (not many guys like being seen as a girl basher) and physical reasons (a fit, sport-playing guy will often way up to 20 kilos more than a girl in the equivalent shape). I play mixed soccer casually and most guys simply won't try to physically get a ball off a girl, instead simply trying to stand in their way instead. That won't be an option for professional sports players.

Why do I have this image of male players being penalised for a chest high tackle on a female player ... !

Imagine Olivia playing footy, a 'chest high' tackle lingers a little too long...... One angry father jumps the fence:eek:

Charmo having fun at training it seems

"just wrestled the great man @voss03 at training and got owned. I now know how Josh Carr felt from Port Adelaide.."

What an incredible coincidence that Rocky is chatting with Rainesy on twitter about netball and how rough it is:

Just at the netball talk about a physical game @rainesy29 @JennaCumming1 #getsrough

Won tickets to an early screening of Men in Black 3 and on the way home. Saw Patfull and Blacky give a quick speech before the movie and have to say thanks to the Lions twitter page for the free tickets.

Thoughts on the movie?

Was really good actually, expected a really bad movie considering its the third installment, but that's not how it panned out, is a must see movie.
