AFL Club
Geelong
My first go at this but have really listended to what the decision makers at clubs have been saying rather than trying to fit certain guys to certain states etc.

1. GWS - Lachie Whitfield - enough said.
2. GWS - Troy Menzel - Giants have enough young midfielders so I think they will take a punt on the player with the most X factor.
3. GWS - Kurt Tippett - Wont take any chances on the lions or any other team and will pounce early.
4. Melbourne - Stripped of selection by the AFL
5. Bulldogs - Jimmy Toupas - Dogs want midfielders and he is the best available.
6. Bulldogs- Oliver Wines - read above
7. Port Adelaide - Jake Stringer - best available and potentially the best in the draft.
8. Brisbane - Kristian Jaksch - have said all along they require kpp.
9. Richmond - Jonathon O'Rourke - compliments a good young midfield.
10. Essendon - Joe Daniher - who cares
11. Carlton - Jackson Macrae - quality goal kicking midfielder exactly what the blues require.
12. GWS - Brodie Grundy - wont believe their luck.
13. Gold Coast - Nick Vlastuin - replacement for Caddy.
14. GWS - Sam Mayes - quality utility and is versatile.
15. North Melbourne - Lachie Plowman - Running defender and will release Atley to midfield.
16. Geelong - Dayle Garlett - Probably one of a few clubs that can afford to take a punt on potentially a very good player.
17. Fremantle - Jesse Lonergan - I think its club policy to pick midfielders with early picks. Will not punt a kpp this early.
18. Collingwood - Ben Kennedy - Fast midfielder forward to replace Didak, Krakouer etc.
19. Collingwood - Tim Membrey - 3rd forward will be a good foil for Cloke in years to come.
20. Adelaide - Stripped of selection by AFL
21. Collingwood - Taylor Garner - Best available.
22. Western Bulldogs - Mason Shaw - will have a punt on a key forward.
23. Sydney Swans - Tom Clurey - Key defender to replace Richards, LRT etc.
24. Brisbane - Josh Simpson - best available

17. Fremantle - Jesse Lonergan - I think its club policy to pick midfielders with early picks. Will not punt a kpp this early.

We seem to be taking the best available in the first round. I'd expect we'd probably take Shaw,Clurey, Simpson or Garner before Lonergan.

Can you please strip Catltons picks as well, just because they are Carlton.

I'm happy with those draft picks, although we would probably go for Hrovat before Membrey. We lack developing young inside mids, whilst we have a plethora of 3rd talls coming through next year - Paine, Goldsack, Macaffer, Gault, Elliot to an extent.

LOL, nice try but no cigar.

Melbourne will have 7 days to respond to AFL's findings and as the AFL next meet on the 19th there is no chance that we'll lose picks this year, Adelaide wil probably be in the same boat.

When you have no idea about a player and you don't know what to say then 'best available' is the best fall back line.
