Where is Travis Cloke? I thought it was more than just Collingwood hype with this one?

Travis Cloke did nowhere near enough to be All Australian. But it's only how you play those 3 games.

I reckon Meesen and Marc Murphy were a little stiff, and Hams probably deserved AA as well - they were all better than Sherman and Hamill for example.

And how did Jessie W win the medal after playing only 2 games? I guess no one had 3 standouts, unlike Tambling in Div 2.

Interesting 2 of the MVP's (Eckerman and Drum) aren't eligible for the draft this year.

How did JW get Larke but not AA?? Who were in the best for metro today, i thought Jarrod Moore was good??

i reckon sharp will get drafted but why would a club want him apart from his ability to run. he only gets loose balls and handball receives why would a club wanna draft a soft player who can easily be shut down by someone standing with him

brent prismall was put in the paper as a possiable all australian, i know he contributed well in the first game, but was pretty quite in the second. this may have been due to him being on a rotation basis...well done galiant metro coach!!! :) .....

eddie betts and moore needed a tap on the back, todays efforts were tremendous...and its those players that dont have a father breathing on a prospective afl clubs neck..that get my thumbs up!

Herrington??...are you awake yet?

cheers

Is it just me or is those awards and AA based on reputation and not on performance during the carnival? (BAR- Kirkby)

While it may be true in some cases I wouldn't have thought so considering the absence of guys such as Cloke, Roughead and in particular Franklin missed out after pretty average performances.

Does anyone think this will effect Franklins rating come draft time or is it a minor hiccup?

Have to admit I was suprised to see Jesse W win the Larke. Thought he was good but played only 2 games and was probably not amongst the best 5 or 6 today.

But if there is one thing I can say about him, he was probably the most effective player out there. I can really only remember 1 disposal that didn't go to a teammate or to a teammates advantage.

As a Roo, I am a little smug right now :p

Good call - Impressed me yesterday and look out for next year. Great mover and uses the ball very well. Many will be looking at him.

Before you get too smug, just remember that Kane Pettifer also won the Larke Medal and is now hanging on by his finger tips from being delisted.

Eckermann is a gun. Always high in the best for Sturt under 17's every week, and I think he has played some ressies as well, IMO he should be playing league next year. Very good player, will be better than Monfries who is a similar type.

Mcmahon is the surprise packet, didnt think a lot of him to start with, has been ok before the carnival obviously cos he was selected but really cranked it here. Good on him.

Grundy, Wood also did enough, and Griffen is just all class.

Bit peeved we couldnt win that, shannon hurn will be spewin but watch out for Hurn and Eckermann next year for SA.

First of all, he cost you the number 9 pick (I think), Jesse will be in the mid 30's.

Second, Jesse is a much more adaptable player that has courage as well as speed and skills, a trait that is very important in taking the big step up. To me, that is the aspect that makes me think he will make it.
