Feels too big a hill for JDM to climb, but with his power, you never know. If he does pull it off, you'd think it would be one of the easier double-champ chances for Islam.
It's a pretty terrible PPV card, but will tune in and out as I can until Jack's fight.

Only one repping the USA. I thought they'd have more....event being in the USA's 51st state n all.
Enjoy this one. Next week is a poor event from the APEX, then a week off, and followed by another weak APEX event.

The fight against Hafez is what worries me. The guy took the fight 15 minutes out and still had a lot of control of JDM. Even in the last when he was clinically dead from tiredness he still had some control Belal wont tire and as we know loves a wrestle heavy, risk averse decision win. We know JDM has far superior stand up so I hope he has had take down defence as a strong focus in camp.
Emeev is apparently a strong grappler who he defeated but he tried striking with JDM and got KO'd. He got cut after the JDM fight too which says a bit.

Aldo missing weight by a fair amount - probably time for him to retire, feels like he's just fighting for a pay cheque at this point. Read a stat that he's spent more time at BW than he did at FW in both the WEC & UFC. Mental.
Feels like it will be a tough ask for JDM but wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he clips Belal. So Ilia will fight Olivieira if Jack wins or Islam if Belal does. I'm intrigued to see Islam v Topuria. By the by, the size of Islam stood next to Belal, it's crazy how big he is in comparison.

Jose weighed in at 143 pounds. Had to check. I didn't know he'd missed. 145 is already a mission. 135... yeah nah. Too hard.

Think that's the 1st time he's missed weight in that class. Crazy considering how much he struggled at 145.
