Oh well, at least City didn't drop points in a way. Would have been a shocking feeling.

Hard not to be disappointed given the advantage we had over a month ago but a very good season overall league wise. Cup runs were disappointing.

I feel city wouldn’t have slipped up anyway, this result makes it easier to swallow tbh, they smashed Everton 3-0 after a tough CL game

Been a great season regardless
Agree. They’re on fire.

Haven’t seen our game but score line suggests this may have been the mental letdown of realising it was done.

There was a sense of inevitability from City over the last month or so. I more so wanted Arsenal just to keep doing what was in our control and keep banking those points. At least win these remaining matches and take it to the final week. Final day even.

That’s the major disappointment at the moment. It’s essentially over now. 9 points from the last 21 available. Some crucial defeats in that run and that’s that.

Brighton excellent today. Carved Arsenal open time and again. Very strange goals to concede. Just leaking way too many goals since Saliba’s absence. And with no Zinchenko today there was very little rhythm to our play.

An amazing season overall that I hope doesn’t get too tainted by finishing the season by limping to the end.

Last season it felt like the clubs were years away from genuinely challenging again.

An excellent summer window (getting shit done early) generated a lot of momentum in pre season which in turn allowed the club to finally be ready for the start of the season - not the end of the transfer window like in the past. This was key in nailing so many wins to start the new campaign.

Must approach this summer the same way. I have no doubt KSE will heavily support Arteta’s plans. Especially after seeing how close we came this time.

Clearly there are gaps in the squad that everyone is aware of. It’s getting tiresome having our season somewhat collapse with a first choice defender out (Tierney in 2021 & 22, and now Saliba). Must invest in these areas so the team isn’t so significantly weakened by absences.

Saka needs relief as well. He has fizzled out unfortunately as the toll of the season takes hold. He also plays every minute for England. He needs support.

Would also love to see a different kind of striker. A more physical presence, taller, stronger etc. Someone who can change the dynamics if plan A isn’t working.

With another 3-4 quality additions, who knows.

Back at the top table. Tastes good !

Heart-breaking end to a fantastic season. The growth that we have seen from some of the players this season has been remarkable.

Not going to lie, I hope that the late drop off this season and last season does not become a recurring theme. Missed UCL last season after a meltdown late and this year handed the title over to a relentless and deserving city.

I'm optimistic about next year, but it is going to be trickier with UCL and rivals likely to improve.

Congratulations to all on a successful season. Let's finish with two wins.

Xhaka confirming he’s moving on this season as he is seeking a new challenge.

I was very surprised that reputable journos were going with Arsenal targetting both Caicedo and Rice, I thought it would be one or the other. Letting Xhaka go would indicate that they might believe doing both deals is possible.

The other one not mentioned much anymore is Tielemans. As far as I am aware he is out of contract, wonder if he is still on the radar.

Yeah there must be something to it. Would be three great signings especially for depth and rotation.

That’s big news re: Xhaka. Arteta continually talks about “levels” and as good as a season that Xhaka has had, you can also see where that position can be improved.

Rice AND Caicedo, holy crap. That would significantly raise the level of the squad.

I think it is a good time to say goodbye to Granit. He has done enough to remembered positively by Arsenal fans, especially after the armband debacle. We need to be more ruthless and not get so attached to players. Take the 15-20 million for him. 2 midfielders is now a priority.
