the goals are up on dailymotion.com if people are interested.

a few things to note...
-inters goal highlighted one of our defensive weaknesses but im fairly confident that gallas, toure and an improving senderos will be able to do with this threat as the season goes on.
-hleb shot!.... TWICE!!!!!......AND SCORED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! must've been a fluke but he showed when he was at stuttgart that he could score from distance so hopefully we see more of it this season.
-van persie.... wow! if he can do that to inters defence then he's gonna be having fun this year in the epl.

overall a good win and the first of many trophies for the season, go the gunners!

How many goals do you reckon RVP in the EPL? I reckon anything less than 18 will be a dissapointing return. I think that every one is expecting alot from him this year.

hleb also looking very eager to prove his doubters wrong, i was a hater last year but from this game against quality opposition he looked a lot faster, more creative and deadlier than last year...

Whole new player when playing centrally.

Wouldn't mind a 4-4-1-1 as a default formation.

I liked the look of him but isn't he predominantly a central midfielder?

Geez, all our midfielders apart from Walcott are naturally central midfielders!

Do you guys think Wenger should have done more to try and keep Jose?

I think it all started to go downhill when his relationship with Henry broke down.

He may have been very valuable for us this year.

Comments?!?

He never seemed happy. I think we've done well to get that much for him.

The Arsenal girls must be shattered with us losing Thierry, Freddie and Jose in the space of a couple months!

Newcastle put Martins on sale to raise transfer cash
By Sam Wallace
Published: 31 July 2007
Obafemi Martins is the latest Newcastle player to be told by the new regime that he can leave if the club can find a suitable buyer this summer. The Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce will have to sell players in order to raise money if he is to bring in new faces and the Nigerian will be used to raise transfer funds.

So far there have been few takers for Kieron Dyer, with reputed interest from West Ham and Tottenham cooling of late. Allardyce would like to move the England international out but he has not attracted the kind of interest that he would have done even two years ago and already injury problems could potentially derail the start of Newcastle's season.

With 11 goals last season after his £10m move from Internazionale last August, Martins is an attractive prospect although his wages, understood to be £60,000 a week, could discourage buyers from outside the Premiership. Despite his impact during the season doubts were raised over his refusal to play against Watford on 13 May - though he claimed he was injured. During an eventful summer he claimed his car was shot at when he was driving in Lagos.

-----------------------------------------

Two weeks ago he said he wanted to sit down with him and inform the player he was required by the club. Now I'm confused.
