Kalou would be available as a free signing too I believe. Speaking of yossi, would be great if we could retain him but perhaps he would want more regular football at another club

We need to get henry a place in the coaching staff or do what viera is doing at city. He would help keep our players as well as attract a few.

Would prefer yossi to go to west ham or ajax, won't get the playing time next season.

I'd like to keep Yossi. Ended up being valuable towards the end of the season and we need squad players if we want to challenge. That's why I don't mind getting Kalou.

Dempsey has come out and said he wants CL football. Massive fan of him, so do want.

Also Vertonghen's move might fall through at Spurs, so we are still a chance there.

You serious? WE NEED SQUAD PLAYERS. Time after time we are hacked down by injuries. Obviously if Yossi signed on permanently he would be squad a player.

Which is why I think we should go for Kalou as well, not good enough to start, but decent to have on the bench.

Latro, clichy and nasri were persuaded to join city on the back of viera's advice who is also trying to persuade RVP to join. Money also played a part in their transfers but you can't say that it was the only reason. If a great of the game says he wants you at his club and and says he can offer you plenty of playing time. On top of this you are going to be paid very well, you will more often then not join that club. Obviously if your happy at the club your at you will stay but if you were thinking of leaving or were out of contract, it is very attracting to leave.

Also i think our starting 11 players like walcott and gervinho should be squad players not starting. Thats why i see no need for kalou and yossi. I would add rosicky to the squad player list but once wilshere comes back he will be, so no need to buy a player in his position(though i would welcome someone like kawaga, belhanda).

I see where you're coming from Tom, but perhaps are we overstating vieria's position at city? No disrespect to him but I would've thought Mancini would be the one to offer playing time etc.

I agree with your points about theo/gervinho being squad players. But one thing at arsenal is certain: injuries. We never seem to have our best team available at any time. Plus at rosicky's age and history of injuries, we most certainly need an attacking midfielder IMO. Again no disrespect to rosicky he was terrific this yr and his body held up well, but we can't expect him to keep starting next season and last the year. Kagawa would be fantastic but united are in the box seat

Campbell will be back from loan on lorient and he should get a work visa. He could be handy next year, a very good finisher. From what i have read about his loan at lorient is he didn't get the ball much as 1. lorient were crap and 2. the lorient players used the other striker.

Probably right Latro, we've seen some exceptions though with the likes of Henry, cesc, RvP who all genuinely love the club and were deeply conflicted about leaving (obviously RvP is yet to be determined but if he does go it would be leaving the club with similar sentiment)

I don think many players care. The vast majority will just go to whoever pays the most.

I dont even think its that. Money is important, and for some its everything. But strength of league, strength of team, champions league and chances of winning something are equally important.

Otherwise they'd all be in China or Dubai.

Regarding kalou and/or yossi, the way I see it is that a hell of a lot depends on RvP staying or not. For example, if he stays then you'd think Podolski is a walk up start out on the left flank, leaving the ox, theo, gervinho, yossi/kalou (if applicable of course) to start the other flank. But if RvP goes and Podolski plays up front, then obviously the left wing is also opened up meaning we sure as hell need depth given we never seem to have everyone fit at once and need to keep Ramsey as far away from that position as possible.

Kalou would be a good, cheap and experienced signing.

I agree but don't hold your breath in thinking that Van Persie will leave: he won't go anywhere I reckon.
