On Ramsey, one of the hardest things after such a horrendous injury for a player, believe it or not, is to actually learn how to walk again and some players never recover or at least, never get back to anywhere near where they were after such traumatic injuries. Ramsey is only just starting to come good and it is a testament to his courage.

I didn't see the game this morning but I was told that Podolski was stretchered off after tearing his hamstring. That being the case, it'll be 6 to 8 weeks before we see him and if there is any tendon problem, that would be 6 months and the rest.

Wenger said immediately that it's at least a 21 day injury, so for him to acknowledge that you know it's serious. Hope it's not one of those 'torn off the bone' cases which can easily rack up to 3 months.

Ramsey took a knock as well and was substituted late.

The way this is going with our squad being bruised and battered, we're running a very servere risk of grinding players down to the dust by October. Ox and Poldolski out have left us very short on the left. Santi will move back there with Rosicky into AM for the NLD.

But geez. We need some coverage. It's just getting tiresome and repetitive talking about it anymore.

Didn't Monaco just hit Kondogbia's release clause?

Read in the transfers thread that we signed Cabaye for 15m. I think it was mentioned in the post regarding the young French bloke (forgot his name) being targeted by NUFC, and the related wiki entry. Doubt it's true (in fact sure it isn't) but would we be happy with Cabaye at that price? Personally I don't see him as an upgrade, but with the depth we have he could certainly be handy.

Yeah Kondogbia is on his way to Monaco. Shame as he should be a star in a year or two, once he learns how to control games.

As for Cabaye I would take him though he isn't much of an improvement on Arteta and is basically a younger Arteta which is the only reason why he is improvement (fitter, faster). Hard to be too disappointed about a signing of his caliber due to a lack of options available, though I would like a star player but the reality is in his position there are very few.

I'd be happy @ 15 mil Cabaye. Good player and can be rotated through the middle.

Kondogbia is yet another miss for Wenger. Just the type of player we need and would slot into our team beautifully. Why are so many of these players slipping through the cracks?! There's just 4 days left for f**ks sake.

A fit and healthy Cabaye would be our best midfielder if we were to get him. He is exceptional and when Newcastle were flying, it was Cabaye who ran the show and it is no coincidence that since he's been injured, Newcastle have struggled big time and yes, better than Wilshere who has a lot of maturing to do before he gets as good as Cabaye.
