Yep very good performance by everyone, was especially impressed by Giroud his hold up play was fantastic.

Has improved greatly this season.

Ps- How does everyone feel about Giroud as our number one striker. I feel he has 20+ league goals in him with the right service but more so he is very important on set pieces. Cant recall the last time we conceded one with him in the line up. Though you should never play a striker as he can help defend set pieces.

Good to put the filth back in their box.

Lovely finish by the big Ollie. Good god I hope he doesn't get injured.

Jack hobbling off is always a worry. Flamini slotted in well.

Oh and a fit Rosicky is critical to our team.

Going to be a bit of roller coaster these next 24 hours, with rumors of Ozil or Draxler circling.

I think Jack was unwell.

Always liked him but yesterday was easily Giroud's best game for us. His movement off the ball, hold up play and heading were all top notch and so was his defending at set peices - responsible for blocking atleast one shot and heading away 3-4 balls in the dying minutes.

Looks alot more comfortable than last season. I stil think we don't play to his strengths (we are terrbile with set peices and crossing into the box) and we need another option since he lacks pace and wont really create too many opportunities on his own, but i think he could be our slightly lesser version of Mario Gomez if we can get players to create like Ribery and Robben

Giroud was always going to be a better a player in his second season with us, but its pleasing to see that improvement so early in the season.

You could see though the bloke was exhausted in the last 15 minutes. Wasn't the only one, we've had a heavy workload already which has really stretched the squad. Can't sustain this and cannot rely/wait for the injured blokes to return in 2-3 months. Must be bringing in some players today/tonight.

"Maybe we have a little surprise for you..." said Wenger. Hope this is not another tease.

Maybe a bit biased view here but I feel there is something up with this current Arsenal this season. After the Villa game the players have really stood up for Wenger and I feel like he is still the manager to lead us to a title/trophie. However, The next 24 hours are critically important to find out whether we are serious as a football club to win trophies. To include Ozil, Di Maria, GK and possibly a ST or CB would do wonders for this squad.

The Madrid fire sale is about to happen though, and being as we're one of the clubs that's a) in the CL, b) can afford ok wages and c) still has a transfer kitty, we're around the mark to grab something if possible.

At least now that we've won 4 games on the trot including the derby, the media will be less able to plaster 'PANIC BUY' all over the back pages and tarnish any good deals we manage to make.

Yeah that was hawt.

Less hot, more "oh **** our only striker just pulled his groin", which he apparently didn't in the end.

Deadline day rumours starting - Marca is reporting that Madrid has accepted an offer from us from Ozil, but he's refusing to leave, or at least knocked us back.
