lol @ thinking we'd win in OT.

What's that now? 6 years since we've won there?

que the "ARSENAL IN CRISIS" "ARSENAL FAIL FIRST REAL TEST" "MOYES WILL BE THE GREATEST" headlines in the morning. zzzzzz.

Oh and **** Bendtner off. Just release the campaigner from his contract, pay him out and play of the youngsters. They cant be any worse.

No Rosicky and Mertesacker hurt, the midfield looked out of. Will get some players back after the break but disappointing to lose to them again given the build up and the position we could've been in. Not sure if true, but I think I overheard a stat that this was Arsene's 50th game vs United (only 15 wins though).

And it just had to be RvP to score the only/winning goal.

Still 5 points clear on top and plenty to look forward to, but we need to start taking some points from the top teams.

Don't know about you guys but I reckopn if BFG had have played RVP would not have scored that header.

I agree. Usually Giroud is on the front post, however with Per out he had to take his place when defending corners, leaving Rambo to try and out jump Judas.

We were really flat, our 1st half was pathetic the 2nd was a lot better.

Sagna was probably our best and put in 2 absolute peach crosses that should have been put away I was pretty surprised they weren't.

We just weren't at the races, though we had 60% possession and double the amount of shots. United were by no means very good either they just got that lucky goal at the corner and that was it.

Particularily the one where Bendtner seemed to stop his run, needed to take a punt on the defender making a mistake/missing it and follow the flight of the ball.

I felt Gnabry should of been brought on earlier to bring some runs behind the defence when they were sitting back. Hoping Walcott and Poldolski are not far away and that this virus going around the club is gone in a fortnight.

However tell the national teams the entire squad is sick and can't play any internationals this week!

And just on Bendtner....

Not a great result.

I don't know if this signals our need for a more attacking striker - I effing LOVE Giroud, he's had an amazing season, but when he's not going well, or we need someone to run at defenders, it's definitely not him and it'd be nice to have that option on the bench.

I'm not sure if it's Walcott or a new recruit, but it'd be nice to have.

1 loss isn't a crisis, and again Giroud has been an absolute beast all year so no knock on him.

I'm expecting more of the same next round against Southampton, the 747 will be parked and we'll need to be good to break them down. We did improve in the 2nd half and we know the quality is there, so let's hope to get back on the winners list, because it doesn't take much to go from the hunted to the hunter in this league.

edit: Oh and RVP is a ****!

It is in the big games where we miss Theo and Podolski. Cant play so one dimensional against the top teams which has been our downfall over last three games with only United being able to take advantage of it. Somewhat interestingly we have been linked with Cuadrado of Fiorentina by DiMarzio who is quite reliable and there are a few rumours going around linking us with Pedro though not sure how reliable they are. One of those two would do in giving us depth on the wings.

Have also done quite well to only concede one goal over the three games when we have come up against Suarez/Sturridge, Reus/Lewandowski and Judas/Shreak. With the goal being conceded from a corner.

Still plenty to improve on...

If a United player touched that ball it would have gone in for an own goal it was a brilliant cross, agree with you on the Gnabry comment.

Not much to really say about the game we were well down (Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla & Giroud were all lifeless and sloppy), I felt a draw would have been the appropriate result.

Seemed to me like it was a tired performance. Big game against Soton next.

btw not bothered by RVP's celebration. Scored a goal for his team and celebrated accordingly. Fair play.

Dont know why people care if he does celebrate. Respect extends as far as the paycheque both ways.

Well said and it was a tired performance. I think I read somewhere that some of the players were suffering from the same virus that kept Mertesacker out of the game.

That's football though and we are too good this year to let this loss derail us: we'll get them when they come to our joint.
