What are the chances of us retrieving Joel Campbell back from Olympiacos to play upfront?

Campbell still has work permit issues I believe? I've never fully understood those government rules but I think there's a minimum experience requirement before a permit is finally granted.

As for Diaby, yes a very elegant player. Put on a clinic that day early on at Anfield. His next injury is always around the corner though. I think his contract expires this season, surely it won't be renewed (then again he is a favorite of Wenger's and we know how loyal he is to his players). £50k a week though, that's a hell of poor return from a financial point of view.

Campbell got a work permit for this season glenferry23. He did not look ready for the EPL after his previous season though.

Ok thanks Latro, your knowledge is always pretty good with this sort of stuff. In decent form though this season from the snippets I read on the Arsenal website's loan watch summary.

If thats the case, could we buy him back off Olympiacos (remaining loan fee) and get a big name striker in the summer?

The striker options this summer will be significantly better than what's available now. I believe we should make a serious move at Costa or Manduzic, who would probably be available once Lewandowski joins bayern.

For all the pisstaking of Diaby, he could've been something special. He started fit last season and completely dominated at Anfield and Etihad.

Agreed Diaby would have def. become a pretty damn good player his body is just shot and can't get and keep himself on the park to save himself

Decent lineup indeed. I wonder if Toral and perhaps Eisfeld will be loaned out this window for some first team football elsewhere.

Doubt Toral will go out on loan, needs to show he can play 15+ games without picking up a serious injury before going on loan. Eisfeld needs one though.

As for Crowley here's his highlights package from his season so far which he missed 5 or 6 games.

Was brilliant in this game as well:

"That is why we are out there. Last summer I looked for a striker that could play with Giroud and without Giroud. In my mind it was not absolutely to replace Giroud, it was to play with or without him.”

Very interesting Mr Bond.....

Seems like it will be a wide forward more like Theo rather than a central striker.

Wilshere's versatility is impressive. Has played CM, wide left and number ten in the last month alone. Glad Gnabry is playing again, deserved another start.

Still need to put them away here.
