Need to make a big push for Draxler now so we can move Ox permanently to midfield to cover for Ramsey's and Flamini's absence. Also wouldn't mind seeing a bid for Schneiderlin (spelling). Would be an upgrade on Flamini and Arteta.

Recurring calf injury. It's on Arseblog.

Yes just read it. Damn. We've done extremely well this last month or so to keep winning without our player of the season.

But its a blow not to have him for the masive Feb/March period.

Hard to believe that we are actually looking short of midfielders at the moment given the plethora of players we have in the squad.

Lack of line breaking mids (ramsey/wilshere/rosicky) really hurt us this morning, no one getting between the lines at all. Arteta and Flamini should never play together again unless we bring one of them on to protect a lead in the last 10-15 mins.

We were never going to win by playing Arteta and Flamini, played right into South Hamptons hands with their ability to press those two.

Any updates on Wilshere's ankle? Rosicky too can play CM, he surely can't be out for too much longer. Must've been a nasty nose break.

Wenger said "Hopefully we have something to tell you" in his presser regarding transfers, which is more promising than "Draxler is like a UFO" and "we have nothing happening"

Anybody game enough to go through our Feb/March and predict how many points we'll possibly get? :p

Wenger said after the game this morning that Wilshere is okay. Rosicky will hopefully return soon as well. Arteta our only CM at the moment.

can someone actually post our fixtures for Feb and March... (I CBF).

Il take the point we got this morning. We were deplorable in the first half. Soton still a good side and a point is better than nothing. Must beat Palace. SPurs win over Man Cuty tomo would help and then City play Chelski on Monday. A draw would be ideal.

City will beat Spurs tomorrow, and we won't get in front of them again. Dropping points to Everton and Man Utd that we never should have has cost us dearly.

Being hit for 6 by City and failing to beat Cheslea at home was probably more costly. We simply need to beat the other top teams. We should still be there or thereabouts come the end of March when we take on those two consecutively. Win both and you never know.

I don't consider the Chelsea draw as costly, and losing away to city as they are now is almost a given for every team in England - and despite getting hit for 6, we still hit 3 back, and the margin isn't really huge.

Dropping all the points to a shambolic United and drawing at home to a just holding on to Europe Everton is much more disappointing than either.

To be fair though Everton were playing decent football back then, they've dropped off since but yes the United game was frustrating. They were ripe for the picking and we still couldn't beat them. Been a long time since we've beaten them at old trafford. We sure as hell need to win when they come to the Emirates.

Surely not £24m. That's insulting. His release clause is £37m....and could be sold for £40m+ if they hang onto him for another year or two.
