Interesting to note that of the top 4 sides, Collingwood, Carlton and Freo all have had 16 players play every game so far, compared to Geelong with just 11 to date.
Now some discrepancy is to be expected as we are an older side, but I think to have no losses to date with half our team rotating augers well as the season develops and the team hopefully settles.
Collingwood yet to be really tested/unsettled.

speaking to a truckie today who is a one-eyed Magpie supporter, he said if Jolly does not play then Geelong will beat them next week. He reckons Ottens is such a massive influence for us when he his playing like he is right now. It's probably the 1st time I have heard a dedicated Collingwood supporter admit they are not invincible this season. Personally I have always rated Ottens but in the last couple of seasons have felt a ready replacement would be ready to knock him off but haven't seen much improvement in Simpson or Blake in particular and have not seen Ottens play a full season of football since 2007 or his All-Australian days with Richmond. He is not only getting us 1st use of the footy in the centre but he's taking contested marks and running out games. Probably one of the major reasons why we are currently 5-0 and likely 6-0.

I was hoping they might rest Ottens this week, give him an extra week off before the tougher pies and blues games. You can't be too careful with him, and he's still so valuable.

This is interesting....it shows that with the bye, 11 players have had 1 games rest, and another 11 have had 2 games rest ( 11 players have played 4 games so far this season )...and we are now in Round 7.

Sensible management of team resources. I expect we will see a similar pattern emerge as the season goes on...look for the players who have played every game to have a week off over the next 5 rounds or so.

Bring on the " general "

You wait til we play GC in a few weeks.

My guess is there'll be a fair bit of "general"

Perhaps General Vardy, General Brown, General Guthrie and General Motlop??

Very likely to inflict Corporal Punishment. Hopefully though, not on Ablett's Private Parts of course :)

( see what a few Friday night schnapps does to you ??? )
