Tim Killworth. Coached Yarra for about five years, I think, and is a premiership coach. His last year was in 2005. Coached the last two years at NOBs. He's a life member at Old Geelong, as well. Should be an interesting year for Yarra, with Killer and old rivals Aquinas, back in the comp.

Probably was a team-mate of yours in the 90 premiership!!!! Wore a helmet

Wow, how wrong you are! Never worn a helmet, never played at Marcellin, never been king hit against anyone but Bulleen-Templestowe.

Time to stop playing the man guys...at least Ugly has some grace and humility about himself. Go BT! I am on your bandwagon for 2008!!

Am tipping BT v SMD semi final.:thumbsu:

..and just a small clarification, believe our friend Dee Snider was suspended for that Grand Final.

Ajani has just had a $20k re seed and is getting watered this summer, unlike last year, so we are hoping for a better surface for 08. No grounds in Manningham council available for any pre season though.

AJPAJP - any thought put into erecting a fence around Ajani (most of it is fenced in anyway by houses), improving the surface and applying to the VAFA to host finals?

We tried it a couple of years back but the council knocked it back..but always wondered why BT don't do that - seems like the perfect place/location.

The council control the ground, we have no say it what they do to it. New house built this year makes it about 95% surrounded now anyway. We hosted clubbies finals this year. As I said the surface has been given a top up, not sure how good it will get.
I would rather the council build us new clubrooms

pretty hard to assess the form at this stage, but seeing as i didn't back a winner all spring with the horses i'll go with this ladder for 2008

Prahran - solid 2007- 13 wins
Bulleen Temp - solid 2007 - 13 wins
Old Mentonians - 5 seconds from c grade will play well- 13wins
Old Geelong - bit hot n cold not sure what your gonna get, be ok -11 wins
Yarra - finished ok in 2007, will win out their home - 10 wins
Fitzroy - come back to d1 and will win a few - 9 wins
Sth Melb - will find that it is a bit of a step from d2, but will win games - 8 wins
Aquinas - will win there fair share out at there paddock to survive the grade - 6 wins
Nobs - not sure, but all the reports don't seem too promising - 5 wins
Peninsula - tailed off in 07, sorry but someone has to come last - 4 wins

there you go, nostradamus or nostrauseless?

First training session of the pre season and it looks like long stops in the boots with the long trackie dacks, unheard of in NOVEMBER! Better than spewing your guts up with heat stroke i guess.

Anyone else training tonight?

Yep - we've got a couple of laps of Princes Park and some short skill work.
Runners only - might be interesting when the balls come out!!!

I hear the leading candidate is the Club 18s coach from this year who took them pretty much undefeated all season until the end.

Who would the other contenders be Conduct?

It is probably a tough time to get a coach with most coaches already settled into new position or happy where they are.

Will many players change clubs as a result of Easton's departure.

Well firstly, I cannot see too many players leaving BT to go play for Lalor.

As for who the other contenders are, I really have no idea as I am not connected to the club. Half Back Pocket or Ugly Dermie will fill us all in.

That's 92 wins there OW. Are there 2 extra games expected in 2008?

Yikes! Thank you uncle Mick for pointing that out. I'm not aware of an addition of matches, i am, however, becoming aware of your intense quest for perfection and i humbly apologise for the amount of wins that i have given the D1 sides for next year. what an oversight...In light of this error please remove one victory from the top team and one victory from the bottom team, will that make it viable?

Once again I do apologise. I hope i haven't brought this thread to its knees.

I am concerned that you are not off making new mates/enemies/whatevers in the C grade site as you don't have a place here any more unkle!!

Whilst you're at it, better trim a couple off Yarra (8th in D1 in 2008) and add them to Reds (9th in C). How you could expect them to finish on the same wins is baffling.

I Belive the new BT coach will be Steve "MOOSE" Young good mates with the new president.

What a time to take over the reigns and become president. Did old president step down??

I didn't suggest any players would go to Lalor however I suspect Easton has enourmous pulling power in recruiting and also in keeping his playing lists together. He will undoubtedly be big loss.

This one seemed to go through to the keeper:

Beauy still coachless and directionless.
